That's a wrap on our coverage of this 3rd ODI where the visitors prevailed to win the series 2-1. Thank you for joining us for this match and for the ODI series as a whole. Do join us for more cricketing action across the globe. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Akshaya Krishna Polya alongside scorer/analysts Dushyant Madhukar Kumar and Yogesh Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Kane Williamson will now go and collect the trophy from the signatories and he will take this to his teammates. They will pose in front of the winner's tag and deservingly so as they have played better than Pakistan. They deserve to celebrate tonight.
Kane Williamson (New Zealand Captain): "Yeah, he (Phillips) wasn't feeling great either. He (Phillips) came out and played out of the skin. We made a few errors with the bat and threw away the good position we were in. Kudos to Phillips for getting us across the line. Pakistan have played well throughout the series.

Phillips plays that way. Glenn simply hit it out of the middle while playing the way he normally does. He was feeling a little under the weather, so I doubt he wanted to run very far. He simply grabbed the game. The playing field has been tough, perhaps in the middle or late two hundred. taking wickets in the middle and late innings to limit them to a total of par. Several good partnerships to advance the cause and Glenn are the only real unknowns. Our team thoroughly enjoyed our time in Pakistan, both on and off the field. We had a great time."
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "Definitely. The way we started and we executed our plans and got the wickets to get ahead. But Phillips took the game away from us and the bowling was not up to the mark in the last 15 overs. I think we were 20 runs short. When Fakhar and Rizwan were batting we thought 300 was needed. Some soft dismissals didn't help and we didn't do well in the last 10 overs.

Definitely, the way Fakhar and Rizwan played today. They were in control of the proceedings and when they were batting we were ahead. I thought in a few areas we fell short and lost the game. But loads of positives to take from this series."
Devon Conway: "Yeah, I think obviously the surfaces have been batting-friendly. I enjoyed batting here. I also got good support from my batting partners. The hundred is a special one for me. It wasn't that easy to get there. A bit challenging pitch was the previous one. Yeah, Kane and I spoke about batting in partnerships. We batted cautiously, ticking ones and twos. I loved my time here in Pakistan. The support we got here was amazing. Tonight, the crowds have been amazing."
Player of the Series goes to Devon Conway.
Glenn Phillips: "I think at the end of the day wasn't feeling too well. I just wanted to use my power and belt the ball. I wanted to show intent out there and showcase my skills and I am glad I could win the game for my team and help them win the series."
Player of the Match goes to Glenn Phillips.
Fielder of the match goes to Henry Nicholls.
Feel Good Performance of the match goes to Fakhar Zaman.
Best Bowler of the match goes to Salman Agha.
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
11:02 PM IST: A thrilling game in Karachi comes to an end and it is New Zealand who takes the honors with a 2-wicket win with 11 balls to spare. This is their maiden series win in Pakistan and they have only one man to thank and that is Glenn Phillips. He has single-handedly taken the game away from Pakistan and the Kiwis win the series 2-1.

Chasing a formidable 281 for the win, the Kiwis got off to a steady start courtesy of their openers Finn Allen and Devon Conway. Allen was the first of many run-outs today for 25. Devon Conway notched up another half-century as he scored 52. Kane Williamson scored 53 today before he was run out. Daryl Mitchell scored 31 at a crucial time. Tom Latham scored 16 and Mitchell Santner scored 15 in the end. But it was the Glenn Phillips show from the moment he came in. His unbeaten 63* off 42 balls has powered New Zealand to a win from a hopeless situation. Remember, they were 205/6 at one stage when Latham had fallen. But Phillips had other ideas. 19 extras given by Pakistan also helped the Kiwis to win this close game.

The spinners stood up for Pakistan today. Agha Salman was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/42 in 10 overs. Usama Mir picked up a wicket and gave away 61 runs. Mohammad Nawaz picked up a wicket and gave away 53 runs in 10 overs. A couple of wickets for Mohammad Wasim Junior as well. But the pacers went for loads of runs today. They missed the services of Naseem Shah today.

Opting to bat first, Pakistan lost Shan Masood and Babar Azam early to be reduced to 21/2 inside the first 7 overs. Thereafter, it was the Fakhar Zaman-Mohammad Rizwan show. The duo put on a magnificent 154-run stand for the third wicket to bring Pakistan back on track. Rizwan scored 77 off 74 balls. Fakhar Zaman completed a majestic 8th ODI ton as he scored 101 off 122 balls. Haris Sohail scored 22 off 25 balls while Agha Salman scored a very good cameo of 45 off 43 balls to push the score to 280/9 in 50 overs. 5 extras were given by the fielding side.

Tim Southee picked up 3 wickets for 56 runs in his 10 overs. A couple of wickets for Lockie Ferguson in his 10 overs where he gave away 63 runs. Michael Bracewell bowled an excellent spell giving away 44 runs in 10 overs and picking up 1 wicket. Ish Sodhi had figures of 1/50 in 10 overs. Mitchell Santner went wicketless giving away 64 runs in his 10 overs. He was the biggest disappointment of the day from New Zealand’s point of view.

So, New Zealand wins the game by 2 wickets with 11 balls to spare to seal the series 2-1 and win their maiden ODI series in Pakistan. Stick around for the presentations coming your way soon.

48.1 M Hasnain to G Phillips
1 That is it! A gentle tickle to deep mid-wicket for a single from Phillips! It is a fuller ball angling into the middle stump line. Phillips takes the single and with that, New Zealand win the match by 2 wickets and take the series 2-1.
48.1 M Hasnain to G Phillips
WD WIDE! Over the wicket. Back of a length going over the tramline. Phillips misses the cut through to the keeper. Wide signaled by the umpire and the scores are level.
