Milestone
That's a wrap on the coverage of this Test match as the hosts walk out winners by 87 runs. Both teams will be back in action on 8th of March for the next Test match at the Wanderers. Do join us for that match and for all other cricketing actions across the globe. For now this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of Srivathsa alongside scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Aiden Markram | Player of the Match: "Good thanks. Yes, good to get Test hundreds and Man of the Match awards. It's good to get back in the top of the order and score runs for the side and help the team win. It helped coming back here and I am grateful. It worked out for me. Home pitch and it was a tough pitch. The sun was baking down and it quickened up through the days. There was lateral movement which made it a challenge for us. Yes, happy to get it and look forward to the next Test at the Wanderers."
Temba Bavuma | South Africa Captain: "It feels good to win. To win it like that was a great feeling. Yes, there was a crazy hour where we let things go. We had the opportunity today and we failed with the bat. But our bowlers stood up and hit the right lines and lengths to win the game. I think we didn't look at a score. Klaasen and Markram were there and we wanted 300+ but 250 was decent I felt. I think the biggest one is bowlers resting and taking off their feet and resting and batters it's about adapting to the conditions and having the conversations and improve ourselves."
Kraigg Brathwaite | West Indies captain: "As a batting unit we missed out. First innings we should have batted at least 90 overs and that would have put us in a way better position. It had a lot in for the bowlers, some kept low but still feel we could have done way better as a batting unit. I though the bowlers did a good job, SA batted really well on the opening day but in the last session our bowlers pulled it back. And then when we batted, from 100/1 we crumbled. As batters we got to improve, we just got to do better in the next game. There is not much you can do, you have practice sessions, go to the nets, mentally when u get in you have to choose which balls to play and which balls to leave. We can't do anything now, it is all mental we can't practice and change things at this stage of our career. Seeing how Alzarri and Kemar bowled in this game and with Jason leading the way today, especially after not doing well in Australia is good."
7:38 PM IST: So, the Test match is done and dusted inside 3 days and it is the hosts South Africa who draws first blood to win the game by 87 runs to take a 1-0 lead in this 2-Test match series. The West Indies fought hard and gave the Proteas a mighty scare, but they were not good enough to win the game. As many as 16 wickets fell yesterday and today to wrap up this game inside 3 days.

South Africa started the day at 49/4 but continued to lose wickets to be bowled out for 116 in 28 overs. Aiden Markram played well for his 47 to back up his 100 in the first innings. But no other South African batter got going. Coetzee scored a valuable 20 runs in the end to stretch the lead to 246 and set 247 for the West Indies to win.

Kemar Roach picked up his 11th fifer with Joseph and Holder picking 2 each and Gabriel picked up the other wicket.

Chasing 247 on a tricky surface, West Indies lost the early wicket of Kraigg Brathwaite for a duck. They never got going and continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Jermaine Blackwood stood out amongst the rest as he played a counter-attacking 79 off 93 balls. Nobody gave him enough support from the other end. Joshua got 17 while Jason Holder got 18. Kemar Roach was the last one to go for 12.

Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa with 6 wickets picking another five wicket haul. A couple of wickets for Marco Jansen as well. A wicket for Nortje and Coetzee.

We also had notable performances earlier in the Test match. A century from Aiden Markram. Alzarri Joseph getting 5 wickets, Reifer getting a half century as well. Anrich Nortje also got a five wicket haul as well. Plenty of superlative performances in this Test match. It was more with the ball as it dominated the bat in this Test match after the first two sessions on Day 1. A terrific game which was won by the hosts South Africa. They win the game by 87 runs.

Stick around for the presentations.
40.6 K Rabada to K Roach
W That's worth the shout and up goes the finger. Roach decides not to review here. Good length angling into the pads coming in, Roach plays all around it and gets hit on the pads. The appeal is given out and Roach does not review and it is a fair delivery. So, Rabada gets his 6th wicket as the Windies have been bowled out for 159 to lose the game by 87 runs.
40.5 K Rabada to S Gabriel
1 Fuller length around off, Gabriel drives and gets an inside edge to mid-on for a single.
40.4 K Rabada to S Gabriel
0 Short of a length climbing up here, Gabriel fends it off into the pitch.
40.3 K Rabada to S Gabriel
0 Good length around off, Gabriel gets hit on the body.
40.2 K Rabada to S Gabriel
0 Fuller and wide outside off, Gabriel swings and misses to the keeper. A no-ball as there is an overstep
40.2 K Rabada to S Gabriel

40.1 K Rabada to J Blackwood
W OUT! A ripper of a  delivery and that's a fifer for Rabada. End of Blackwood as well. A snorter outside off, Blackwood tries to ride the bounce but can't and pops a simple catch while he is airborne fending at it, to 2nd slip. Fine knock from Blackwood though
