So another World Title going to Australia. They are a team to beat if anyone needs to overcome their domination in Women's cricket. It was an incredible tournament and a great hosting from South Africa. Stay tuned with us for more cricketing coverage around the world.

For now, this is AkshayaKrishna Polya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Arijit Kundu and Deepak Prakash, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live coverage of this grand finale. We will meet you again in the upcoming matches. Until then, it's cheers!
Meg Lanning collects the ICC T20 World Cup Trophy from Mr Greg Barclay. This is their 6th World Title in this format. Now, the celebration begins here at Cape Town.
Meg Lanning (Australia Women's Captain): "Ah, it is a very special effort from the team. We have performed so well in the tournament, knew that the teams would come hard on us. We are super proud. The wicket wasn't as good as at the start of the tournament. Our start in the powerplay was good. That set the tone for us.We thought of hitting the good areas and getting the job done. Need to enjoy the game, the atmosphere here- brilliant. The pressure was up and we have enjoyed it.

We have come and seen what the beautiful country had to offer. Certainly nice to finish the tournament with a win. No, it's a special group. Not the players, but also the support staff, behind the scenes. The group there, I want to show them, they have been brilliant. Also, my mom and dad, have been here. Thank You."
The Australian team is being asked to come on the podium and get their winning medals.
Sune Luus (South Africa Women Captain): "It has been an amazing feeling being here in the finals. It's incredible to be able to play at our home ground in front of so many people. Thank you, Newlands, for all the support; we love you. We lost wickets at critical times, and we knew they had a strong bowling attack. We lost the game, but we can be proud of how we performed in the tournament. To begin with, you are extremely annoying (laughs). Many of the girls have found you to be an inspiration. Pressure is on the Minister of Sports, CSA to keep women's cricket growing in this country."
South African players now come up to collect the runners-up medals.
The match officials now receive their medals for their brilliant officiating in the final.
Ashleigh Gardner (Player of the Tournament): "I think we have been longing for this moment. We have been playing for such moments. I have been super proud of this group. To be honest, the semi-final - my role with both bat and ball was good. Coming later and doing the job with the ball was also brilliant.

First of all, the accolades are great. We have won this one, as World Cup Champions. This is something to be very much proud of. I think, the confidence in my bowling. I have bowled a lot of in-games, the Big Bash as well. I think Meg has confidence in me.

Oh, I don't think, words can describe how proud I have been. Be the best version of yourself, grow the game globally. That would be an understatement. There is so much fun playing for your country. Later in my life, I am going to be super proud of this team."
Player of the Tournament: Ashleigh Gardner
Beth Mooney (Player of the Match): "Yeah, very special, I think. It's been incredible being here in South Africa. Yeah, it's been a great journey. The crowd was impressive, but unfortunately, not many of them were cheering for us. In the middle, I wasn't exactly calm. The girls will inform you later. It was really tough wicket to bat on and I was too hard on myself in the middle. I was extremely disappointed with my performances in the first two games. But the team always had faith in me to turn things around. The entire squad and support staff have been incredible."
Player of the Match: Beth Mooney
Laura Wolvaardt: "Yeah, it has been such an incredible tournament to be a part of. It has been a great experience being a part of the competition. It was a tough day. There were a lot of fans, came from Newlands. The Australians were tough, we failed to get the partnerships in the start. Yeah, every bit of cheer, it's something that I have never experienced. Feels something really special. Yeah, I can do this everyday. It has been a cool experience. To take the team to the final and help the crowd cheer for us in the finals. I am really proud of the girls for achieving this much."
Grace Harris: "You cannot take away the smile from my face. I thought, 150 odds was tricky. This is outstanding, and I have loved my experience here. Yeah, Ash was backing her skills. She went to up the runs. Yeah just loved it. It was a bit bubbly off the grass at some areas. We tried to adjust to the bubbles on the turf."
Ellyse Perry: "Ah, amazing. Amazing crowd. Fun to be a part of it. Fortunately, it went in our way. Ahm, look, it was up and down. It sounds in our bowling innings. Laura Wolvaardt, the partnership with Tryon, bring them in the hunt. There were partnerships, it was pretty intense, was fabulous. It was a nice opportunity to contribute to the game. It is the one thing, we do as a team. It was nice to run and do the field"
Jess Jonassen: "Ah, you cannot go into the World Cup final, thinking you cannot lift the trophy. It was an incredible atmosphere. To be completely honest, I thought no. I thought my job was to keep everyone hydrated and help the other mates. Yeah, my momma is here. We had gone for some sightseeing and it has been really great."
9:32 PM IST | Australia Women do it yet again as they defeat the hosts, South Africa Women, by 19 runs to lift the ICC Women's T20 World Cup for the third time in a row. Overall, it's their 6th ICC T20 WC title!

Chasing 157 runs to clinch their maiden T20 WC Title, South Africa started off very cautiously, scoring just 22 runs in the powerplay and also lost Tazmin Brits in the process. To be on point, Australian bowlers were on the spot from the get-go and put pressure on the Proteas' batters.

The home side lost the wickets of Marizanne Kapp and Sune Luss in a quick time and were at 54/3 at one stage. Laura Wolvaardt was the lone warrior for the hosts as she scored 61 off 48 balls, adding 55 runs for the 4th wicket alongside Chloe Tryon.

Once Wolvaardt was dismissed in the 17th over, the hopes of creating an upset were diminished. Australia didn't allow the rest of the batters to click as they restricted South Africa to 137/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

For Australia, Megan Schutt, Ashleigh Gardner, Jess Jonassen and Darcie Brown scalped a wicket each, along with staying economical.

Australia won the toss earlier in the match and opted to bat first. Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney started off decently, adding 36 runs for the first wicket. Healy was the first one to go, as Marizanne Kapp dismissed the Aussie glove woman in the fifth over. Ashleigh Gardner’s promotion to number three proved to be a brilliant decision as she scored briskly for a 21-ball 29.

Gardner added 46 runs for the second wicket alongside Mooney, who smashed yet another World Cup finale fifty. Despite losing wickets at the other end, Mooney kept on going from the other end and was unbeaten at 74 off 53 balls, helping the side post a competitive total of 156/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

For South Africa, Shabnim Ismail and Marizanne Kapp scalped a couple of wickets, while Chloe Tryon and Mlaba picked one wicket each.

Stay tuned for the presentations!
