Milestone
That's it from our coverage as well. Overall it was a humiliating defeat for the White Ferns and chances of their way into the semis are getting bleak now.

We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and Scorer/Analyst Yogesh Kumar, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.โœŒโœŒ
Sune Luus (South Africa WomenSouth Africa Women Skipper): "Yeah, first of all, thank you Paarl for coming out and supporting us, this is the biggest crowd we ever had. We wanted to maintain our focus from the previous game, keep scoring runs, and achieve a respectable total. The spinners did a fantastic job, but the support players like Khaka and Kapp did a fantastic job. I believe maintaining enthusiasm was crucial. "
Sophie Devine (New Zealand Women Skipper): "Firstly, the credit must go to South Africa. The way they played, they deserve to win as they outplayed us. It is disappointing and embarrassing. Our game is not up to the mark at the international level. We are training hard but are not able to perform.

The wicket was pretty good to bat on as compared to the last game. We believed that we could chase down the total. We need to stand in front of the mirror and have hard conversations.

We have to move on. We need to step away and take some time away from the game. It's hard but we have to bounce back. We have to find positives from it. Carson was very good tonight. She stepped up and bowled hard overs."
Chloe Tryon (Player of the Match): "After the first game, we knew what we wanted to do. We did the basics right and got the results. We wanted the win badly. We are working hard as a group and happy with the result tonight. You can see that on everyone's faces. I think we were 15 runs short but the bowlers stepped up to defend it. I'm loving bowling. Happy to get some wickets and hopefully, I'll continue contributing in the coming games."
Chloe Tryon is named the Player of the Match.
1:25 PM IST | Deepak: The Proteas women earn a well-deserved standing ovation from the enthusiastic crowd, as they made a strong comeback from their earlier defeat and hammered White Ferns by a whopping 65 runs.๐ŸŽ‰ White Ferns were bundled out for just 67 runs which is the lowest score in the T20 World Cups.

Earlier after electing to bat first, South Africa started on a lackluster note as they were reeling at 55/4 in the 9th over but Chloe Tryon and Nadine de Klerk reconstructed their innings and helped the Proteas to post a formidable 132 runs in 20 overs. Chloe Tryon amassed 40 runs, while Nadine de Klerk remained unbeaten on 28 runs. From the bowling front, Eden Carson and Lea Tahuhu extracted a couple of wickets each for White Ferns and restricted the hosts to 132 runs.

In pursuit of Proteasโ€™ 132 runs total New Zealand got off to the worst possible start as they lost their top four batters in the powerplay and were reeling at 18/4 in the 5th over. Both their openers Bernadine Bezuidenhout and Suzie Bates even failed to open their account and left White Ferns in a precarious situation. On the flip side, Proteas bowlers gave a daunting challenge to White Ferns and it was the first time in the World Cup that Proteas bowlers extracted four wickets in the powerplay.

Wickets kept tumbling for New Zealand and their innings were wrapped at 67 runs which is the lowest total in the T20 World Cup. A poor display of batting by the New Zealand batters as only 3 out of 11 were able to cross the double-digit score tonight.

On the flip side, the hosts were in top form with the ball and Nonkululeko Mlaba was the standout bowler for them as she scalped 3 wickets and gave away just 10 runs in the 4 overs. Marizanne Kapp and Chloe Tryon chipped in with a couple of wickets each, while Shabnim Ismail and Ayabonga Khaka contributed one wicket in White Ferns' downfall.

Overall it was a humiliating defeat for the White Ferns and chances of their way into the semis are getting bleak now. South Africa Women will look to carry the momentum in the upcoming matches, while New Zealand Women need to restrategize and execute it in the upcoming matches.

Stick around for the post-match presentation..
