So, that's it from this exhibition clash at the Eden Gardens. The tournament proper starts tomorrow at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Do join us for that game and for all other matches across the globe in our network. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Anirudh Modi, alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Harbhajan Singh, India Maharajas Skipper: "That's why they chose me. Viru was having a stiff neck and so I got the captaincy. I always go back with something and am not empty-handed. I love playing here at Eden Gardens and it means a lot to play over here. Before I receive the trophy, I want to thank the organizers for allowing Dada to give me the trophy. He is the reason, I am here. Without his support, I would not have been here."
Pankaj Singh, Player of the Match: Happy to get a fifer in T20s. Yes, memories of what we have gone through coming to share the dressing room and share with the legends is amazing to watch.
Jacques Kallis, World Giant Skipper: "It was nice as a whole. Congratulations to the India side for 75 years. We were happy to be involved here. I think they were great Ramdin and Kevin. They are looking good and the tournament starts now. Everyone is happy and geared up."
Time for the presentation ceremony.
Irfan Pathan seals things off in style as the Maharajas win this contest by 6 wickets to win this special match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Chasing a stiff target of 171 for the win, the Maharajas lost three early wickets with Virender Sehwag going early for 4. Parthiv Patel got a start as he got 18 off 13 balls. Mohammad Kaif got 11 runs off 12 balls. At 50-3, things looked a little precarious for the Maharajas.  Then it was the Tanmay Srivastava and Yusuf Pathan show as the duo added 103 runs at a fabulous rate as they took the game away from the Giants. Srivastava scored 54 off 39 balls while Yusuf remained unbeaten on 50 off 35 balls. Irfan Pathan came in and scored 20 off 9 balls to seal the win in style as they won with 8 balls to spare. 18 extras were gifted to them by the Giants.

Tim Bresnan was the pick of the bowlers with his 3-21 in 3 overs. Fidel Edwards got the other wicket, but he was taken to the cleaners. The other bowlers including the spinners Vettori, Muralitharan, and Panesar struggled with the dew tonight.

Winning the toss and deciding to bat first, the World Giants got off to a flier courtesy of Kevin O’Brien who went berserk in the powerplay. He shared a 50-run stand with Hamilton Masakadza in 5.3 overs with the Zimbabwean contributing 18 off 15 balls. Kevin was the star with his 52 off 31 balls. Denesh Ramdin the keeper batter coming at 4 ably supported him with his 42* off 29 balls. Kallis scored only 12 runs. Thisara Perera made a handy 23 off 16 balls. They were well-placed after 10 overs but lost their way towards the end. They could have gotten to 180+ from where they were after 10 overs. 14 extras were given by the Maharajas which included 5 penalty runs.

Pankaj Singh was the star for the Maharajas as he got 5-26 in 4 overs which included a triple wicket maiden at the end. Harbhajan Singh bowled a tidy spell of 1-21 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Joginder Sharma and Mohammad Kaif. Joginder had to leave the field as he pulled his calf. Sreesanth was disappointing, to say the least, and was taken to the cleaners while Dinda went off the field as well.

So, a win for the Maharajas by 6 wickets with 8 balls to spare. Stick around for the presentation that shall come your way soon.
