So, that's a wrap on this game from Kanpur. Do join us for the big game tomorrow as India Legends takes on the West Indies Legends in a pulsating clash. Do stay tuned for other matches in our network across the globe. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Hitesh Peddurwar, and scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Stay safe, happy, and cool and until next time, here's bidding you good night and cheers!
Sanath Jayasuriya(Player of the match): " I just started bowling in the last three-four days, I thought of giving my 100 percent and I enjoyed bowling. I enjoy playing in India, it's a great crowd in Kanpur all came to see us. Unfortunately, my legs are not that strong I need to work on them(on batting in lower order), from the next game I will be fit and will bat at the top of the order."
The best fielder of the match award goes to Upul Tharanga!!!
Tillakaratne Dilshan (Winning Captain): "The bowlers bowled well today. Sanath was special as he used his experience. We knew the pitch was going to be damp and we executed our plans to perfection. We are gelling well as a unit and we are happy with the space we have as we have got wins under our belt. Yes, I am enjoying playing and giving my 100% for the team and I want the same for the others as well. I am passionate to play for my country and That's why I show my anger. Yes, thanks to the Kanpur crowd for their support. We have loved playing here and can beat any side in the world. Our brand of cricket is good."
Ian Bell(Losing Captain): " Yeah it was a good toss to win for them, Few things we should have improved today. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to come here and play, we will improve and come back stronger in the next game. The crowd is very good it's a great feeling to play here. Our fielding and bowling were pretty good but we need to improve our batting definitely."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony!!
So, that's the end of the game, and Sri Lanka Legends notch up their second win in as many games as they have beaten a lackluster England Legends side by 7 wickets with 33 balls to spare. The English bowlers bowled their hearts out to make some kind of a match out of this, but at the end of the day, defending 78 was too much of an ask from the bowlers as they came second-best today.

Chasing a paltry target of 79 for the win, the Lankans got off to a steady start against a disciplined English bowling line-up. Tillakaratne Dilshan and Dilshan Munaweera put up 24 runs inside the powerplay before the skipper fell for 15. Upul Tharanga contributed with 23 off 19 balls. Dilshan Munaweera guided the chase as he scored 24 off 43 balls before being dismissed towards the end. Jeevan Mendis with his unbeaten 8 off 4 balls finished off the chase with more than 5 overs to spare.

Stephen Parry was the pick of the bowlers with 1-9 in 4 overs. A wicket for Chris Schofield and Dimitri Mascarenhas. The other bowlers kept it tight as much as they could, but this was a very low target to defend. 9 extras which were all wides given by the England bowlers.

Earlier in the game, England Legends put into bat on a tricky pitch and never got going against the Sri Lankan Legends spinners as they were blown away tonight. Ian Bell top-scored with 15 and his opening Phil Mustard scored 14 as both went at less than run a ball. Schofield and Parry got to double figures scoring 10 each as the Three Lions were bowled out for 78 in 19 overs with 6 extras given by the Lankan bowlers.

The Sri Lankan spinners were excellent with the ball with Sanath Jayasuriya leading the way with barely believable figures of 4 overs 2 maidens 3 runs and 4 wickets. A couple of wickets apiece for Nuwan Kulasekara, and Chaturanga de Silva. A wicket apiece for Isuru Udana and Jeevan Mendis as all the Lankan bowlers had a field day with cherry In hand.

So, a win for Sri Lanka Legends over England Legends by 7 wickets with 33 balls to spare to make it 2 wins out of 2 and go top of the table for at least another 24 hours. Stick around for the post-match presentation that comes your way soon.

13.6 D Mascarenhas to D Munaweera
W In the air and taken at short covers!!! Back of the length delivery on the off-stump line, Munaweera stays back in the crease and tries to nudge it on the leg side but gets early on the shot, he gets the ball on the outer half of the bat and the ball lobs up in the air, the man at covers takes the catch easily.
13.5 D Mascarenhas to D Munaweera
0 Length delivery outside the off-stump line, Munaweera goes for a cut on off-side but gets an inside edge.
13.5 D Mascarenhas to J Mendis
1wd Fuller length delivery drifting down the leg side, Mendis misses the clip the keeper misses to collect the ball, batters scamper for a single and umpire signals it as wide.
A run-out check here to make sure. Munaweera looks to be safe. Replays are in and yes, he is safe comfortably. NOT OUT is the call.
13.4 D Mascarenhas to D Munaweera
1 Back of the length delivery on the middle stump line, Munaweera goes on backfoot and works it away towards short fine leg fielder, and takes a quick single. England fielders appeal for runout at the bowler's end, but the replays shows that batter was well inside the crease.
