Thank You for joining us for the live coverage for the 3rd Game of the Road Safety World Series between Australia Legends and the Sri Lanka Legends, this was Tugral Azmi signing off alongside Ishan Lalwani and our scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Do join us for more exciting fixtures across the globe, until then take care and stay safe!!
Shane Watson (Losing Captain): "It was a great game, a lot of runs scored pretty great batting from the Sri Lankans, Absolutely we are coming from no cricket juts few net sessions out bowling was bit challenging but they batter very well and even we batted well its good to go into the tournament. Its Aussies default to be competitive."
Tillakaratne Dilshan, Player of the Match (Captain Sri Lanka Legends): "Yeah in the six months I came into the field great feeling felt like I came back where I left from last season. Credit goes to the ground staff they created the good wicket, we thought we need to get over 170 looking at the Australian batters, a couple of things went our way today. Even in the last 2 overs, 35 runs were needed the game could have gone on both sides, fantastic game both the teams played very well. It's good to win the first game of the tournament"
Tugral| So, we are done here with Sri Lanka Legends winning the game by 38 runs, as they restricted Australia Legends to a total of 180 while chasing down a total of 218 which proved to be a bit too much for the Kangaroos. Sri Lanka has registered their first win in the Road Safety World Series T20 2022.

Australia Legends got off to a scintillating start while chasing a total of 218 runs, Shane Watson and Cameron White looked in a good touch they stitched a partnership of 75 runs for the first wicket. At one stage it was looking like it will be an easy chase for Australia Legends. But Sri Lanka Legends fought back pretty well and they scalped a few quick wickets which put the Australia Legends on the backfoot. Silva gave Sri Lanka Legends the first breakthrough in his very first over, he uprooted Watson's (39 off 23) stumps. White (30 off 22) lost his wicket shortly after Watson was dismissed due to a poor shot. . Brad Hodge also got out cheaply and returned to the pavilion. Callum Ferguson took charge of Australia Legend's sinking innings and scored at a blistering pace. Bend Dunk also assisted Ferguson, but he could not prolong the partnership and fell victim to Jayaratne after only 18 runs. In the end, Ferguson got the support of Nathan Reardon, and both tried to change the course of the match but failed. Nathan played an impressive unbeaten knock of 46 off 19 deliveries. Due to a lack of support from any batters, on the other hand, Australia suffered a 38-run defeat.

However, from the bowling side, after Sri Lanka Legends got the first breakthrough, he did not give the Australian team any chance to return to the match. Jeevan Mendis was an effective and impactful bowler throughout the innings. He was the pick of the bowlers for Australia as he took a couple of wickets and gave away 14 runs in his 2 overs. Nuwan clears the tail-enders as he took four wickets in his spell. Silva also took a couple of wickets. Sri Lanka Legends showed a great performance with bat and ball, whose reward they got at the end of the match.

17.6 N Kulasekara to D Nannes
W OUT!!! Another bowled, and Australia legends got all out on 180 runs. That was bowled fuller and straight, Nannes wanted to play the awkward shot towards offside but got an inside on it and heard the rattling sound of the stumps. Sri Lanka won the contest by 38 runs.
17.5 N Kulasekara to B Lee
W Wicket!! Cleaned him up, that was fuller on the stumps, Lee wanted to play the ugly cross-batted shot towards on side but missed the line by miles and the ball rattled the stumps to end his innings for nought.
17.4 N Kulasekara to B Lee
0 Dot ball, gold for Sri Lanka. That was on a good length in the stump line, played back to the bowler by Brett Lee.
17.3 N Kulasekara to N Reardon
1 Full toss outside off, played towards deep cover for a run.
17.2 N Kulasekara to N Reardon
1W OUT!!! RUN OUT!!! Krejza sacrificed his wicket in the process of stealing the second run and giving strike back to Reardon. That was bowled fuller on the stumps, Reardon digs that towards mid-wicket where the fielder picked the ball and threw that quickly at the non-striking end.
Tugral: Nathan is playing a monstrous inning that is threatening the Sri Lanka Legends, if he bats like this for a couple of overs then the match will turn upside down.
17.1 N Kulasekara to N Reardon
6 SIX!!! That's a biggie, long long way. That was bowled fuller on the off-stump, he fetched that down the ground for a maximum.  Good start for the over for Australia.
47 needed off last 18 deliveries. Australia Legends wants to see more long sixes from Nathan Reardon and Krejza blade.
