Stuart Binny (Player of the match): " I am really excited to be back here I have been training for 4 weeks, if you are young can bowl in the nets but if you coach ones you will get to know to play according to the situation, It's really good to play with this guys again. I miss hit few shots then Yusuf said I will take on now and he started hitting the big ones."
Sachin Tendulkar(Winning Captain): "Couldn't have asked for more we need to work on a few things in the bowling. It was brilliant watching Suresh. Stuart was very good he got settled in the middle, it wasn't just slogging it was pure hitting that partnership between Suresh and Binny laid the foundation for us. All I have told the guys is that we have enjoyed a lot playing cricket so let's go out there and give our best, people are coming here with lots of exceptions. It's incredible to be back in Kanpur, I played a long ago here I guess it was in 2015 for the 500th test match of India."
Jonty Rhodes(Losing Captain): " It would have been getting the first game under the belt but Indian batters played pretty well. We thought it will be a target of 180 or 170 but Binny took the game away from us. We have very good players in our team we need to bat well in the next game to win it."

Irfan Pathan: "To be very honest it was fantastic to go out there and play with the master blaster.Absolutely not under pressure in the bowling, but in batting Binny took the game away from South Africa I mean all the batters in the middle did pretty well. It was good swinging the ball in the 18th over I will take that."
23.11 IST: That's South Africa succumbed on 156/9 which means India Legends registered a mighty 61 runs win here and they will start their Road Safety World Series 2022 campaign with plenty of positives. Batting first, with the contributions from Binny (82*), Yusuf (35*) and Raina (33), they put a massive 217 runs on the board. In reply, South Africa Legend got a slow and steady start (43 runs in six overs) from their openers Andrew Puttick (23 off 24 balls) and Morne van Wyk (26 off 24 balls). After the departure of the openers, their middle-order batters Alviro Petersen (10), Jacques Rudolph (16), Henry Davids (6) and Johan Botha (8) couldn't possess a show. Tail too had no answers for the Indian spinners, however, Jonty Rhodes down the order played a few good shots (38* off 27 balls) but that wasn't enough for them as they surrendered their innings for 156/9.
For India, Rahul Sharma was the pick of the bowlers who scalped three wickets, Pragyan Ojha and Munaf Patel bagged a couple of wickets each while Yuvraj Singh and Irfan Pathan also managed to take a wicket. More than a perfect day for India Legends, they will take a lot of confidence from it. Hold on for the presentation folks.
