So, that's it from another game in Super Smash. Do join us tomorrow for more Super Smash action and switch tabs to follow the action from other matches and leagues in our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS  from us!
Cole McConchie (Canterbury Kings Captain): "We were 15-20 short. But our bowlers came out all guns blazing and credit to them for this win. Every game is important and we won this one. We need to be brave and have things in our control. Foulkes was great and the others supported him. Good to see the swing movement here. I felt spin will play a part and so did the swing as well. We spoke about the swing and seam and glad to get the win today."
Jeet Raval (Northern Brave Captain): "Yes, very confident of chasing this down. We pulled them back. But we couldn't get going with the bat. The bowlers were good, nothing to speak about them. We fancied chasing 150 odds down. Their bowlers executed better and won the game. Credit to them for winning the game. Yes, we are in good shape and will bounce back."
Zakary Foulkes (Gamechanger of the Match): "It was nice out there too much swing. Just crazy stuff. Happy to contribute to the team. All the seamers bowled well and so did Todd Astle. It was an all-round performance from everyone. Happy to win this award."
A comprehensive win for the Canterbury Kings as they beat the Northern Brave by 48 runs here in Christchurch. This was an excellent bowling performance from the Kings and a dismal batting display by the Brave.

Chasing 155 for the win, the Brave never got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Katene Clarke got to 12. The rest of the top order went for single digits. Scott Kuggeleijn top-scored with 25. Tim Pringle scored 14. Zak Gibson got to 13* in the end, as the Brave were bowled out for 106 in 18.1 overs. Just 3 extras were given by the fielding side.

Zakary Foulkes was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4/23 in 4 overs. Todd Astle supported him with a couple of wickets with figures of 2/10 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Fraser Sheat, Angus McKenzie, and the skipper Cole McConchie.

Earlier in the game, Canterbury Kings put into bat by the Northern Brave got off to a blazing start courtesy of their openers Bowes and McClure. The duo put on 49 runs for the first wicket in 4.5 overs. Bowes scored 22 off 17 balls. McClure scored 26 off 16 balls. Leo Carter got 16 while skipper Cole McConchie scored 12 off 12 balls. Zakary Foulkes scored 11. But it was Mitchel Hay’s 32 off 24 balls amidst the wickets lost by them that got the total to 154/9 in 20 overs. 15 extras were given by the fielding side.

Hampton was the pick of the bowlers as he bowled just 2 overs and had exceptional figures of 3 wickets for 1 run. Scott Kuggeleijn picked up a couple of wickets. A wicket apiece for Tim Pringle, Frederick Walker, and Joe Walker. Zak Gibson went wicketless. All in all, a decent bowling performance from the Brave bowlers to keep the score down to under 160.

So, the Canterbury Kings won this match by 48 runs and climbs up to 3rd in the points table. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation ceremony that comes your way soon.
