That concludes the presentation and that also wraps up our coverage of the 15th fixture of the Super Smash 2022-23 between Auckland Aces and Canterbury Kings from Eden Park Outer Oval, Auckland. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Tugral Azmi here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash, and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer
Cole McConchie (Canterbury Captain): "Yeah, exactly the boys were excellent today with the ball, and the first five overs of the chase were very crucial for us and we did well in it. We are trying to express and enjoy the game. Finally, with the DLS entering the picture, that frenzied batting effort was exactly what we needed. We now have the momentum we need to get going and rack up more points thanks to this victory."
Robert William (Auckland Aces Captain): "We didn't get a good start today because of which we were unable to set a big target. But William played well, he played a crucial inning when the team needed him the most. But I think today was not in our favor, when we came back to the game, our game was ruined by the rain."
Ken McClure | Player of the match: "Yeah, it's good to come up here and open the inning and come away with a good result. Yeah, good to be back. The team benefited from me following the captain's advice to go out and play some shots, which I gladly did. I feel well now that the injury is mercifully behind me, and perhaps this will allow me to help the team more."
10:10 AM IST |  That's it, We have a word from the middle, and unfortunately the match has been ABANDONED🌦️. Canterbury Kings 👑have found themselves victorious🥇 here and they have defeated Aces by 14 runs according to the D/L Method.

In pursuit of Auckland’s 140 runs, Canterbury got off to a flying start as both their openers, Ken McClure and Chad Bowes, started destroying the bowlers from the very first over, and the pair glued a partnership of 47 runs in 4.1 overs. Ken McClure departed after scoring a quick 32 runs off 14 balls with the help of 3 massive sixes and 3 boundaries as well. Chad Bowes was unbeaten on 15* with Carter yet to open his account. Due to rain, the match was stopped for some intervals but Auckland's weather was not suitable for playing after that, so the umpire declared Canterbury victorious by 14 runs(D/L method).

So right there here is the summary of the match, Canterbury won the toss and asked Auckland to bat first, came to open for Aces were George Worker and Cole Briggs. Auckland got off to a disastrous start, losing three top-order wickets in 6.1 overs and scoring only 35 runs. William Donnell joined skipper Robert William who was looking solid at the other end. He played some wonderful strokes and kept the scoreboard ticking. He brought up his fifty but fell soon. The 76-run stand was ceased in the 18th over as William ORourke had the wood over Robert 51(46). This allowed the Kings to pull things back in the death overs. William Donnell and Sean Solia knitted a partnership of 27 to help Auckland to set 140 on the board.

On the flip side, William ORourke was the pick of the bowlers for Canterbury as he scalped a couple of wickets in 4 overs. Angus McKenzie, ZG Foulkes, and Todd Astle extracted one wicket apiece. Stick around for the post-match presentation!
10:10 AM IST: That's it, we won't have any game further, and Canterbury won by 14 runs( DLS method).
10:02 AM IST: Good news folks. The rain has stopped but guess what, as we speak the covers are back on. Match officials are having a conversation. Here we go the rain🌧🌧 has got heavier now.
9:51 AM IST: Oh, the covers were removed for a moment but they are back on again. The waiting game continues.
9:32 AM IST: Nothing to update as it's still raining🌧🌧 at the moment. The ground staff and the umpires are having a chat regarding the situation on the ground. The scenes are not promising at the moment. Canterbury are ahead by 14 runs according to DLS at the moment.
9:10 AM IST: Oh, it has started to drizzle🌧🌧 here!! The players and umpires are walking off the field. The groundsmen are quick to cover the pitch. We will have a slight pause in play, hope it's a passing shower.🤞🤞 According to the DLS method Canterbury are ahead at this stage.
