Milestone
That brings us to the end of the coverage of this fantastic encounter between Otago Volts and Northern Brave. It was Northern Brave's day today as they sneaked away with a victory. Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Hitesh Peddurwar signing off along with my co-commentator Tugral Azmi and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Until then stay safe..
Jeet Raval (Northern Brave Skipper): "I am really happy with the performance of my squad. As I said that I want to restrict the opposition to low scores, we were able to do that today and finally, our account of victory opened. I hope to keep this performance going during the super smash season."
Hamish Rutherford(Otago Volts Skipper): "We didn't adjust to the condition well, we thought it would be a belter of the surface but we were wrong. Hopefully, we will make a good adjustment tonight and will be back tomorrow. It's a T20 cricket so we were looking to get off to a flier start but we failed and lost the wickets early."
Mitchell Santner (Player of the match): "It's a good day for us that today we have won our victory in this season. Clarke performed well, kept the ball on the right line, and was successful in taking the wickets of the opposition inside the powerplay. I am getting more opportunities to bat, so my batting skills are getting better."
Time for post-match presentation ceremony!!!
09:54 AM IST| Pure dominance by Northern Brave in all three departments has helped them to sneak away with a victory today. They beat Otago Volts by runs as they chased down the target of 124 runs in just 15.1 overs.

While chasing a paltry total of 124 🎯 Northern Brave were off to a steady start. They scored 38 runs in the powerplay with the loss of one wicket.

Tim Seifert and skipper Jeet Raval glued a partnership of 52 runs for the second wicket. Tim looked in good touch as he was hitting the ball beautifully. He departed after scoring 36 runs.

Northern Brave lost a couple of wickets in the middle overs but Joe Carter and Mitchell Santner held the innings pretty well. Mitchell Santner came with all guns blazing and was in the mood to finish off the chase quickly. This duo stitched a partnership of 53* runs for the 4th wicket. Santner scored quick fired 41* runs off just 20 balls.

Earlier in the match, Otago Volts⚡ won the toss and invited Northern Brave💫 to bat first. Volts were off to a disastrous start, they lost 3 wickets at a score of just 9 runs. Volts failed to score runs at a brisk rate as they kept on losing the wickets at regular intervals. Michael Rippon and Jake Gibson glued a partnership of 43 runs for the 6th wicket and Northen Braves crawled towards a total of 123 runs. Michael Rippon was the top scorer for his team as he scored 40 runs.

From a bowling point of view, Brave's bowlers were exceptional throughout the innings they didn't leak the easy runs and built the pressure on the Volts batters. Mitchell Santner and Kristian Clarke scalped a couple of wickets for Northern Brave.

With this victory, Northern Brave jumped to the second spot on the point table.

Stay tuned with us as we will be back with the presentation within a few minutes.
