That's it from our coverage of the 10th fixture of the Pakistan National T20 2022 between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh hosted by Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Megh Mandaliya here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Shashank Surly and scorer/analyst Ashok and Bishal. This tournament is operating expeditiously and we are heading towards another double-header tomorrow. See you soon!

Khalid Usman (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Captain): "In our team meeting we will keep motivating the players to up their game each and every game. We got a great start, we slowed in the middle but Amin and Azmat handled things well at the end, credit goes to them. (On not losing wickets in powerplay)The first few overs at the start was tough as the ball was doing a bit, then they accelerated well, that's how we play our game."
Saud Shakeel (Sindh Captain): " I think we need to finish well. We have lacked in that area from the last few matches. Bowling was our primary strength and I was backing my bowlers but we were 15 runs short and in the end that made the difference. Fielding is important in T20 matches and if we had held on to half-chances, the results would have been different."
Adil Amin (Player of the Match): "We had our plan set, after watching a couple of deliveries, we had license to charge against any bowler, we took the advantage of short boundary and got successful in doing that. (On chasing the total)We just need to have positive intent, play attacking cricket and we can chase any score."

That concludes the 10th group fixture of Pakistan National T20 2022 between Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Khyber has dominated the 40 overs and would appositely win this encounter by six wickets. They win three on the trot and this is also only the second time a team has been successful to hunt down a total.

In pursuit of 152, Sahibzada Farhan and Mohammad Haris gave Khyber an assertive start by orchestrating 54 of the powerplay, which was also the highest powerplay score this season. Sahibzada Farhan was taking the charge while Haris was playing the second fiddle. The duo stitched an outstanding partnership 82 and changed the course of the game. Farhan bagged the most runs 45 (34), including four boundaries and two maximums. Similarly, Haris completed his stint on 37 (29).

Zahid Mahmood (2/32) claimed both the openers in the 11th over brought Sindh right back into the contest. However, the Khyber batters soon got their revenge as they orchestrated 20 runs of Zahid in the 15th over. The over-read: 6,1,6,1,2,4. Buoyant by the late pyrotechnics of Adil Amin 40 (24), Khyber secured a comprehensive victory. The Sindh bowlers never looked settled as they were constantly pitching it up alongside giving width to the batters.

Before that, after winning the flip and electing to bat first, the Sindh openers started on a striking note as both Sharjeel Khan and Saim Ayub. Both the southpaws were looking to stitch a huge partnership before Adil Amin got the wood over Sharjeel 12 (10) at the stroke of the powerplay and Saim Ayub 23 (20) was bamboozled by Mohammad Imran Jnr with an inswinger. Since that, the Sindh could never really accelerate their innings and they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. However, a formidable partnership between Sarfaraz Khan 27 (24) and Saad Khan 40 (36) resurrected the Sindh innings and got them to a competitive total. Mohammad Imran Jnr claimed the most scalps for Khyber in the first innings and finished his stint on 2/30.

Ultimately, Khyber came out victorious and will attain two important points to settle at the top of the table. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be welcomed with no respite as they take on in-form Southern Punjab tomorrow. The Sindh, on the flip side, would attain a one-day break and would now lock horns with Central Punjab on 6th September. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.
