both stayed unbeaten at 22 and 11 respectively but they failed to take their team
towards the first victory and Trinbago Knight Riders finished at 80 runs loss
of 3 wickets in 60 balls. Hayley Matthews scalped 2 wickets while Qiana Joseph took one wicket for the Royals.
Earlier in the day, Trinbago
Knight Riders Women won the toss and opted to bowl first. Royals started their innings with Matthews and Boyce but Reniece Boyce was runout at the non-striker's end of
the first ball of the match. Hayley Matthews looked good in the middle but went off at 14 runs. Chloe Tryon and Britney
Cooper resumed the inning and built up a partnership of 75 runs for 3rd
wicket. Chloe Tryon was the aggressor, smashed the Riders bowling unit to all
corners of the park, went on to make the first ever fifty of the 6ixty
competition which included 5 fours and 4 maximums, and was dismissed at 63 off
29 balls. Jannillea Glasgow and Anisa Mohammed picked up the wickets for the
Trinbago Knight Riders.
