Deepak: That concludes the 9th match of The 6IXTY between St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders where Riders thumped patriots by 3 runs. Today we witnessed Russell’s blasting inning in the first inning and then we witnessed the fastest fifty from the Rutherford. It was raining boundaries and sixes here, and Bowling for the bowlers was nothing short of death here. 307 runs were scored in this match which is a record in itself.
Earlier Riders scored 155 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs. Patriots came out to chase down 156 runs but didn’t get the start they wanted as they lost skipper Lewis in the first ball of the second over.
Andre Fletcher took the charge of the batting in the middle and started hitting the balls for boundaries and sixes but his short cameo comes to an end as he was trying to hit a full toss ball over long-on but was unable to clear the boundary rope and departed scoring 33 runs off 15 balls and was joined by Brevis on the next ball who goes for a golden duck.
Sherfane Rutherford played a blasting inning of 50 runs off just 15 balls and Dominic Drakes smashed 33 runs off 10 balls but they fell just 3 runs short of the target.
On the other hand, Jayden Seales picked up 3 wickets giving away 39 runs in his 2 overs quota, and Russell picks up one wicket.
