That's all for today. This is Ishan signing off with my co-commentator Samanvaya along with our scorer Chandan. We will be back soon with all the live updates. Until next time, Good Bye, Take Care!!!
Player of the Match is Primus: I'm really grateful to play a match-winning knock for my side. And moreover that we as a team are happy to get qualified for the next stage.'
Scott Kuggeleign: 'I'm very happy with my performance today. Always targetting some wide yorkers there and it went to the point and helped our team to get this victory.'
21.22 IST: St Lucia Kings have registered their first victory of the tournament by beating the table toppers Jamaica Tallawahs by 8 runs. Moreover, with this win, they have kept their semi-final hopes alive.
Earlier after getting invited to bat first by Jamaica Tallawahs, St Lucia Kings managed to put a decent total of 109/5 in their 60 balls with contributions from the wicketkeeper-batter Johnson Charles (32) and Roshon Primus (48). In reply, Jamaica didn't get the best of starts as their opener Kennar Lewis(5) departed too early. However, after that, the pair of Amir Jangoo and skipper Rovman Powell put their foot on the accelerator. They started the ruthless hitting and changed the complexation of the game in the seventh over where they looted 22 runs. When it looked like an easy chase for them Jangoo got out for 44 (off 20 balls) followed by his partner Powell (34) and Fabian Allen (1). The wicket of Jangoo was the turning point of the game and St Lucia heist a victory from the mouth of Jamaica. Scott Kuggeleijn bagged two wickets for St Lucia while Larry Edward and Roshon Primus got one each.
