Manish Pandey | Captain, Gulbarga Mystics: "We thought we will get a better wicket (on track). The ball was gripping and the spinners did a decent job for us by restricting them to 157. DDP (Devdutt) was batting well and was playing on around 50 then I told him it's your day today, the way he finished the game was brilliant, he is our experience batter. Really happy about the way he did finish for us. He (Kushaal Wadhwani) makes life difficult for the batters happy he is doing well for us."

Man of the match | Devdutt Padikkal: "Yeah I really want to contribute today and not in the part of the last game as we lost that one. Today I could help them. I'm happy to contribute runs and come from my bat in this important game. I'm fine today and will play tomorrow. ( Manoj) he played a very important role and he came and played with a positive intent that works for us."

22.46 IST: They did it, Gulbarga won Qualifier 2 by 6 wickets and punched the ticket for the final where they will meet Bengaluru Blasters on Friday (26 August). Big thanks to the unbeaten duo of Devdutt Padikkal (96*) and Manoj Bhandage (35*) who helped them pull off this sensational chase.

Earlier, With contributions from skipper Karun Nair (42), Pavan Deshpande (38) and Naga Bharath (27* off 12 balls) helped Mysore Warriors to post the total of 157/5 in their 20 overs after getting invited to bat first by Gulbarga Mystics. In reply, Gulbarga got a shaky start as their opener Jeswath Acharya (4) got out in the very first over of the innings. Before they can recover from it, the other opener Rohan Patil (1) was also dismissed in the third over. However, Padikkal who came to bat at number three was looking in great touch and started

counter-attacking the Mysore bowlers but wickets were falling at regular intervals for them at the other end. Even the wicket-keeper batter Krishnan Shrijith (9) and skipper Manish Pandey (10) didn't able to put up a show and got out cheaply. Gulbarga were 78/4 in 11.3 overs and the total was looking difficult for them but after that, Bhandage came to the crease. Then the duo of Padikkal and Bhandage sensed the need of the hour and cautiously played for a few overs, when it looked like the run rate was climbing, both Padikkal and Bhandage started taking on the bowlers. They smacked the bad balls and rotated the strike to perfection and eventually seal the deal for their side with an unbeaten 80 runs partnership (off 49 balls).

For Mysore, Pavan Deshpande was the pick of the bowler who scalped two crucial wickets while Vidyadhar Patil and Monish Reddy bagged one each but unfortunately that didn't prove enough for their side. Hold on for the presentation folks.
