That's it from our coverage of the 29th Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 fixture between Bengaluru Blasters and Shivamogga Strikers hosted by M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Megh Mandaliya here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Tune in for the final group fixture between Hubli Tigers and Mangalore United, which will begin shortly. See you there!

Krishnappa Gowtham | Shivamogga Strikers Skipper: "The way we played the last two games. The way the boys showed character, was good but it was too late for us. The last two games have been good. There have been a lot of learnings and playing under lights, adapting to the conditions was a good experience. I always tell the same thing, just enjoy the game and be loyal to the game. Probably we didn’t do our best at the start of the tournament but the way we finished, I’m proud of the effort, and hopefully, we will do our best in the next edition."

Avinash D is the Player of the Match.
Time for the post-match presentations.
Megh: Ultimately, the Gulbarga Mystics were completely out-muscled by Shivamogga Strikers, who won this encounter by 6 wickets (VJD Method). The Gulbarga Mystics will now advance to the playoffs and will face the Bengaluru Blasters in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday. Conversely, the Shivamogga Strikers will attain the wooden spoon this season for stationing last at the table but they would be gratified with their performance in the last two games. Stay tuned for the post-match ceremony!
Megh: THAT’S IT! Avinash finishes off with a maximum. That also wraps up the penultimate Maharaja Trophy KSCA group fixture between the Gulbarga Mystics and Shivamogga Strikers. It was a comprehensive victory for the strikers as they gain a consolation win.

In the first innings, the Mystics were totally outrun by the Strikers as they were bundled out for a below-par score of 118/9 in 20 overs. The spin department of Strikers bowled wondrously and bamboozled almost half of the Mystics’ batters. However, it was Avinash D’s excellent stint of 3/24 that rocketed the Strikers into a commanding position. In the second innings, the rain tried to play a spoilsport, but it vanished soon and we witnessed some play in the later half of the innings. The revised target for the Strikers was 36 runs from 26 balls after the rain halt.

Considering the record of chasing at this venue, the Mystics were never really into this game. However, that soon changed when Pranav Bhatia (1/11) stuck in this first over; followed by an excellent delivery from Vidhwath Kaverappa (1/22) that cleaned up Stallin Hoover in the third over.  Moreover, Ajay Gouda (1/12) got the big wicket of captain Krishnappa Gowthan 4 (8) after the rain stoppage, and Ritesh Bhatkal (1/8) got rid of Siddharth 18 (12). However, that was not enough to get the Mystics over the line.
6.3 A Gouda to A D
6 SIXXX!!!! That's the game for the Strikers. A sensational shot from Avinash sees them get over the line with six wickets in hand. Shimmies down the wicket and pulls the short delivery over mid wicket fence for a biggie. With this, the Strikers finish the competition on a high.
6.2 A Gouda to V Sagar
1 On a length around off, Sagar pulls it straight to Padikkal stationed at deep mid wicket. Gets only a single.
6.1 A Gouda to A D
1 Ajay Gouda to bowl the last over. Starts with a slower delivery on the stumps, Avinash slogs at it and gets an inside edge on his pads. Single taken as the ball rolls in the off side.
The Strikers require 8 off the last over. Can Avinash and Sagar get them home?

4 FOUR!!! Sagar opens his account with a boundary. A crucial boundary in the context of the match. On a length around off, Sagar shuffles across the stumps, gets down on one knee and sweeps it over short fine leg for a boundary.

A wicket at the right time for the Mystics. This match is now evenly-poised. The Strikers require 12 off the last seven deliveries. What are your predictions?
5.5 R Bhatkal to K Siddharth
W Holes out in the deep. Bhatkal bowls it quicker and shorter on the stumps, Siddharth hangs deep in his crease and pulls it but doesn't get it off the middle of the bat as he holes out in the deep. Acharya from deep mid wicket runs in and takes a good catch. The Mystics refuse to give up as they pick another wicket.
5.4 R Bhatkal to A D
1 Another half-tracker from Bhatkal and Avinash pulls it straight to the deep square leg for a single.
5.3 R Bhatkal to K Siddharth
1 Quicker delivery on the pads, Siddharth looks to lap it fine but toe ends it in the mid wicket region for a run.
5.2 R Bhatkal to A D
1 Short and well outside off, Avinash slaps it towards deep extra covers for a single.
