Vatsal: A hard-fought win here for the Gulbarga Mystics who have beaten the Mysore Warriors by 7 (VJD Method) runs in a nail-biting encounter.

The Gulbarga Mystics having put into Bat 1st got off to a poor start losing Patil for just 6. DDP struggled in his innings and was given a couple of lifelines. He eventually departed for 14 off 21. J Acharya and KL Shrijith played some good cameos in the middle with 34 and 30 respectively. The Mystics skipper Manish Pandey scored a brilliant 57* off just 27 balls to get Mystics to 148 for 4 in 17.3 overs before rain halted the play.

A Goyal and S Hegde got a wicket a piece for the Warriors and S Gopal picked up 2 although he was taken for 45 in his 4 overs.

The revised target for Mysore Warriors was 110 in 11 overs as per the VJD method. The Warriors got off to a poor start losing K Nair(3) and Ullal(6). P Deshpande(25 off 15) and S Gopal(32 off 16) kept them in the game till the end but eventually fell short by 7 runs. The middle order did not contribute much to them as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals to end with 102.

The Mystics' bowling was well led by Karthik CA who got 2 for 19 in his 3 and was well backed up by R Bhatkal with 2-8 in his 2 overs. Kaverappa and Bhatia got a wicket a piece and they restricted the Warriors to 102 for 7.

The Gulbarga Mystics are very much in the reckoning to end in the top 2 with this win.
