Abhimanyu Mithun, Winning captain: We have a good batting lineup, I said it before the toss. We got to see how Sisodia played. One good partnership was needed, that is what we discussed. Naveen MG played a crucial knock. The way Sisodia played, was an amazing inning. Anyone can have a chance to get into the top four, hopefully, we continue with the momentum and make it to the playoffs.

Luvnith Sisodia ( Man of the Match): Got lucky in the start but needed to capitalize. Always had to be positive and the players who came in contributed really well to the team. I would like to thank the coaches and want to dedicate this award back home.

Megh: What a brilliant finish to an exciting game. It kept the spectators on the edge of their seats. In the end, the Tigers came out at the top and win this encounter by five wickets with one over to spare. It was a dominating display of batting followed by an exhilarating bowling outing by Mystics but unfortunately, it could get them past the line.

The Tigers will gain two crucial points. In the first innings, Jeswanth Acharya 89 (58) outperformed the Tigers with the bat, which settled the Mystics ahead in the game. However, the Mystics would be disappointed with their bowling effort today.

The Mystics were in a commanding till the 11th over, before Luvnith Sisodia and Swapnil Yelave smacked 37 of the next two. Since then, the Mystics were not able to find a way back, and although they claimed wickets at regular intervals, the pyrotechnics of Sisodia changed the entire course of the game. Luvnith Sisodia, the wicket-keeper batter scorched back to form at the right time for the Tigers.

The right-handed batter scored his maiden Maharaja fifty this season, His ability to hit the long way dethroned the Mystics’ bowlers today. He scored an unbeaten 96 (55) with, ten boundaries and four maximums. The Hubli Tigers have now won three out of their six games.

We are in the penultimate week of the tournament, still many permutations and combinations are possible, but the intensity rate of the tournament would only be upward from here. The Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2022 will now enter its second leg, which will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru starting from Wednesday. Stay Tuned!
