Ajith Karthik (0 of 1) and Devdutt Padikkal(18 of 20) came out to open the inning for Gulbarga but didn’t start the inning they wanted as they lost Karthik on the first ball of the inning and skipper Manish Pandey (2 off 4) on the 5th ball of the first over and was struggling at 2 for 2 after one over. Devdutt Padikkal scored a couple of boundaries but did not settle in the middle and departed in the 6th over, and was soon joined by Mohit who departed scoring 10 runs off 11 balls. Gulbarga kept losing wickets at regular intervals and struggling at 101 at the loss of 7 wickets in the 15 overs. They lost the wickets like a pack of the cards and were bundled at 135 runs in the 19.1 overs.
