That's it from the coverage of match 56 from the WBBL. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer Dushyant Kumar as we take leave from this coverage. Stay tuned from more global cricketing action.
Megan Schutt: "She is one in a million. Everything she has contributed to the game is irreplaceable. I want to play one game at a time and want to take it easy. We knew that if we play some good cricket today we could get to the finals and that's what happened. Hope we get some good rest tomorrow.
Megan Schutt is the player of the match.
A terrific finish from the Adelaide Strikers as they close out another win of the season by 26 runs playing some spoilsport in Rachael Haynes' last professional fixture. The Sydney Thunder won the toss and elected to chase on their home turf.

Laura Wolvaardt was terrific with the bat for the Strikers with an unbeaten 75 off 56 deliveries and did bulk of the scoring. No one besides her, Deandra Dottin (23) and Madeline Penna (18*) made it to double figures. Wolvaardt and Penna added 88 runs for the fifth wicket and batted till the end. Hannah Darlington picked up a couple of wickets with Chloe Tryon bowling a terrific 2 over spell with figures of 1/4. Sam Bates also chipped in with a wicket.

Thunder didn't get a good start as they lost the opener Phoebe Litchfield in the second over itself. Top scorer Tammy Beaumont (37) added 32 runs for the second wicket with her country mate Amy Jones. Jones' fall of wicket paved the way for Rachael Haynes playing in the final match of her career.

But it was time for the Megan Schutt show who picked up the best bowling figures of her WBBL career finishing with 6/19 in 3.3 overs giving no scope to the Thunder batting lineup which has failed miserably this season. Deandra Dottin was also brilliant with 2 wickets and an economic spell  Amanda-Jade Wellington (1/18) and Jemma Barsby (1/21) were also economic and chipped in with a wicket apiece.
Rachael Haynes: "Its been pretty enjoyable and emotional. Been emotional couple of days everything took me by surprise. Enjoyed playing and it was incredible to enjoy success out with my mates playing with some incredible players but its tough leaving the field.

Its really great to have everyone from the family here. I have received great support from them throughout my career and I'm very grateful. Its a strange one, I know I'm not ready to leave but its that moment when you leave something which you have done all your life.

Its been really special. Just to have the immense success that we had and to maintain it by getting better makes me so proud. I feel grateful for everyone who laid that foundation for us to play through such amazing time but there were so many great women who played before us and the administrators who helped through.

I always hoped that women's cricket will get here. Its still in the evolution phase. I can't wait to see where this game goes next. Can't wait to see it from the other side. It doesn't matter how good a season you had, you always want to get better and sometimes its hard to be successful. You never master this game and keep coming back for more. Thanks very much."
A guard of honor for Rachael Haynes from the Sydney Thunder team.
