Ellyse Perry | Player of the Match: "The crowd I think, the fans have been amazing. Another all-around performance by the team. I suppose we had a pretty clear idea of the surface ahead of the toss and yes it is nice to adjust and get it done. I don't think anything changes heading into the knockouts, we have enjoyed each other's company and we have to continue doing that. My job is just to flip the coin at the toss, there are a lot of ladies who take the charge on the field. It has been so competitive so far, anything can happen in the knockouts but we are prepared."

Earlier in the match, Sydney Sixers won the toss and opt to field first. A collective bowling effort from the Sixers Women helped them to bundle out the Hurricanes Women to a score of 156 in 19.5 overs.
For Hurricanes, only four batters got to the double digits. They were Lizelle Lee, Mignon du Preez, Heather Graham and Naomi Stalenberg. While du Preez and Graham tried to steady the ship, Stalenberg gave the team some finishing touches with her cameo.
For Sixers Women, Kate Peterson was the most successful bowler as she picked three wickets. While Sophie Ecclestone and Ellyse Perry scalped a couple of wickets, Nicole Bolton and Ashleigh Gardner finished with a wicket each.
Chasing 157, Suzie Bates and Alyssa Healy gave the team a great start as the duo stitched 47-runs for the first wicket. Once Bates and Healy lost their wickets in the matter of three overs, a small ray of hope was seen in the Hurricanes dugout. Then it was Ashleigh Gardner and Ellyse Perry who didn't allow any bowlers to dominate as they added an unbeaten partnership of 88 runs for the third wicket to get their team past the victory line with 7 balls remaining.
With this win, the Sixers stay firm at the top and finish the league stages in the number one position and will play the final directly. Now, Hurricanes need to wait for the results around the remaining WBBL matches to see where they end up on the points table.
