3:25 PM IST | An all-round performance from Hobart Hurricanes get them a much-needed two points as they surpass the Heat challenge by 6 wickets!

After an hour delay, the match was reduced to 13 overs per side encounter, with Hobart Hurricanes winning the toss and opting to field first. This decision proved to be gold dust as the Hurricanes’ bowlers redacted the Head to 3/18 in the 5th over.

A spirited comeback was initiated by the Harris sisters as Grace and Laura stitched together a partnership of 49 runs for the fourth wicket. While Laura got out in the 9th over, Grace played further and was out in the final over. Amidst these, there was a brilliant piece of fielding by Heather Graham to eliminate Ellie Johnston. In the end, a few handy runs from Charlie Knott propelled them to 100/6 in their allotted 13 overs.

For Hobart, Molly Strano, Hayley Jensen, Heather Graham, Maisy Gibson, and Nicola Carey scalped a wicket each.

Chasing the target of 101, Hurricanes lost Ruth Johnston early in the second over. Then Lizelle Lee and Mignon du Preez added 34 runs to get the innings back on track. A small scare to the chasing side was given by the double wicket over bowled by Nicola Hancock in the 8th over as she dismissed Lee and Heather Graham to reduce Hurricanes to 3/61.

Later, du Preez and Elyse Villani took the team closer to the victory line with a stand of 37 runs for the 4th wicket. While du Preez anchored the innings, Villani played a cameo. Du Preez couldn't finish as she fell just three runs short of the target. This didn't change the result as the Hobart-based franchise cruised past the total in the final over with three balls remaining.

With this win, Hobart moves upto the third spot, while the Heat remains in the second spot!
12.3 A Kerr to E Villani
1 Reverse swept behind square on the off side for a boundary to get it done and dusted here! Hobart Hurricanes seal an easy win thanks to their aggressive approach towards the chase. Though that has gone through for a boundary, only a single would be counted as they scampered through earlier than it raced away.
12.2 A Kerr to N Carey
1 Full on the stumps flicked towards mid-wicket for a single, nice foot work by the batter.
12.1 A Kerr to E Villani
1b Length ball on the stumps as the batter goes for a reverse sweep but fails to get bat on it, the keeper also misses and they get a bye here.
