And the Hurricanes' gets going with the momentum fetched in their last game against the Gades and have pouched some crucial points, winning by a margin of 23 runs🔥. In the last seven years, this is the first time that the Hobart Hurricanes have edged past Adelaide Strikers. The Streak is finally broken and it's Hurricanes -1, Strikers - 10.👀

Earlier in the game, Adelaide Strikers had won the toss and opted to field first. Lizelle Lee and Elyse Villani started off things for the Hurricanes with the former one taking the side to a flyer in the first few overs. When spin was introduced, Lizelle had to walk back to the hut🛖. Soon another wicket followed and Villani geared up by a margin above.

The duo of Villani and Heather Graham glued 57 runs together and the skipper then departed trying to hurry for her half-century. Nicola Carey joined Graham and changed gears as the innings came to it's fag end. Graham was sensational with her striking, raced to her fifty, and later was dismissed at the last over.

The Hurricanes could get 152 on the board and Amanda-Jade Wellington was the pick of the bowlers with two scalps.

Arriving for the chase, Strikers' lost their captain Katie Mack early in the innings. Deandra Dottin too walked back to the hut after pressure was building on her.

The home side was down 34-2 after 6.1 overs and then it was the duo of Laura Wolvaardt and Tahlia McGrath who rebuilt the castle and steered the ship🛳 deeper. Both women played some stunning shots, piercing through the gaps and stuck 58 runs together. Tahlia and Wolvaardt were sent back in the 15th and 16th over and then the Strikers were pushed on the back foot.

The Hurricane bowlers kept things tight at the slog overs and 35 runs were needed from 9 balls in the end. Patterson and Penna succumbed to the building pressure and let the ship sink in.

Hobart Hurricanes won by a margin of 23 runs and scripts history with their first win against the Adelaide Strikers.✌️
