Excellent innings by Deandra Dottin has helped Adelaide strikers to chase down the total in just 16 overs. Adelaide Strikers jump to the second position on the points table with this win.
Adelaide strikers got off to a steady start while chasing a paltry target of 120 runs. Deandra Dottin and Katie Mack opened the Innings for Strikers. Both batters kept the run rate ticking from the start and didn't allow the required run rate to pile up.
Openers glued a partnership of 38 runs. Mack departed after scoring 16 runs off 20 balls. Wolvaardt joined Dottin in the middle but she didn't trouble the scorers much as she walked back after scoring just 1 run of 5 balls.
Dottin was smashing the bowlers for fun, she was middling the ball pretty well. Dottin played a magnificent knock of 68 runs off 51 balls with the help of 10 fours and 1 six. Dottin was the top scorer for her team. Patterson played a quick short cameo of 21* runs and took her team over the line.
From a bowling point of view, Piepa Cleary was the pick of the bowlers as she scalped two wickets and gave away 29 runs in her 3-over spell. Sophie Devine Scalped one wicket.

Earlier in the day, Perth Scorchers won the bat flip and elected to bat first. But this decision backfired them as they lost a couple of early wickets. Sophie Devine and Maddy Green steered the sinking and glued a partnership of 61 runs for the third wicket but Scorchers were losing wickets in regular intervals and ended up scoring just 119 runs in 20 overs. Sophie Devine was the top scorer for Scorchers as she scored 37 runs.
From the bowling point of view for Strikers, Megan Schutt was the pick of the bowlers as she scalped 4 wickets and she also became the seventh bowler in WBBL history to pick 100 wickets in WBBL. Jemma Barsby scalped 3 wickets.
