Beth Mooney is the player of the match!
Perth Scorchers have finally broken the Sydney Sixer's winning streak with a thumping 9 wicket win here at the Lilac Hill in Perth! The Sixers won the toss and elected to bat first posting a challenging 155/5 in 20 overs with Ellyse Perry (69*) starring with the bat. Alana King was the star in the first innings for Scorchers picking up 3 wickets for 27 runs in her four overs.

Openers Sophie Devine and Beth Mooney got to a good attacking start before Devine was dismissed for 10 by Ash Gardner who failed with the bat today getting out on a second ball duck. Mooney then paired with Chloe Piparo as the duo added an unbeaten 129 runs for the second wicket to guide the Scorchers home.

Mooney played the attacker as Piparo played cautiously, getting singles and doubles wherever possible and also punished some bad balls for boundaries. Mooney finished with 14 fours and a huge six in her innings and finished the game off with a four which got her stranded on 99 with the Scorchers getting home by 9 wickets.
