So, that's it from Match 30 of the Women's Big Bash League 2022. Don't go anyway as we have the second game of the day coming your way. It's the Perth Scorchers taking on the Sydney Sixers from Perth. Stick around for the England-Sri Lanka crucial Super 12 game coming your way soon.

I am Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Ninaad Dixit, alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay safe, happy, and cool and we will catch up with you soon. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Madeline Penna has been awarded the Player of the Match for her unbeaten 56* off 50 balls.
Adelaide Strikers Women gets their revenge on the Melbourne Stars Women as they win this contest by 5 wickets with 5 balls left. The Stars fought hard with the ball, but in the end, they were around 15-20 runs short on that wicket. The Strikers who were without their regular skipper Tahlia McGrath are back to winning ways as skipper Megan Schutt wins this contest as a skipper.

Chasing a paltry score of 113 for the win, the Adelaide Strikers lost their top 3 early as Deandra Dottin, Katie Mack, and Laura Wolvaardt went 0,4 & 4 respectively. The innings was held together by the duo Bridget Patterson, and Madeline Penna as they steered the chase home from a tricky spot. Patterson anchored the chase with her 31 off 33 balls before being dismissed. Madeline Penna notched up her third WBBL fifty as her unbeaten 56* off 50 balls guided the side home in a tense chase. Amanda Jade-Wellington came and finished off the chase with 9* off 9 balls as the victory target was achieved in 19.1 overs. 6 extras were given by the Stars bowlers.

Annabel Sutherland was the pick of the bowlers for the Melbourne Stars picking up 2/19 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Kim Garth, Sasha Moloney, and Tess Flintoff. Sophie Day went wicketless in her 3 overs for 14 runs while Alice Capsey was wicketless in her 2 overs for 15 runs. They were awesome in the field especially Moloney with some excellent catches in the deep and in the midwicket region, but it was not to be as they went down today.

Earlier in the game, Melbourne Stars put into bat first struggled to get going. The openers barely got to double figures. Lauren Winfield-Hill scored 10 off 17 balls while Jemimah Rodrigues scored 15 off 17 balls. Kim Garth scored 24 off 32 balls while Annabel Sutherland was the best batter for the Stars as she made 47 off 41 balls. She is the leading run-scorer for the Stars this season. The rest of the batting fell away as the Stars finished with a paltry 112/8 in 20 overs with 8 extras given by the Strikers’ bowlers.

Amanda Jade-Wellington was the pick of the bowlers with 3/20 in 4 overs. Stand-in skipper Megan Schutt bowled well for her 2/23 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Deandra Dottin, and Jemma Barsby. Darcie Brown bowled an economical spell of 4 overs for 26 runs. Penna bowled an over for 4 runs. A great disciplined bowling performance from the Strikers as it helped keep the target down and proved to be the difference in the end.

So, the Strikers win this by 5 wickets and consolidate their position in the top 4 while the Stars' unbeaten run is over and they stay in the bottom half of the points table.
