That's it form our coverage of match 21 of the Women's Big Bash League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and scorer/analyst Dushyant Kumar. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe.
Ashleigh Gardner is the player of the match.
It's all over as the Sydney Sixers get home comfortably by eight wickets and seven deliveries to spare. The Sixers won the bat flip and decided to have a bowl in this rain hit fixture reduced to 12-overs per side. The Hobart Hurricanes scored 95/8 in their 12 overs on the back of handy knocks from Mignon du Preez (26) and Lizelle Lee (24).

Ashleigh Gardner was the star with the ball claiming four of the eight wickets conceding 23 runs off her 3 overs. Sophie Ecclestone picked up a couple of wickets proving it was a good day for the spinners. The Hurricanes batting order failed as only 3 batters made it to the double figure mark.

In response, Gardner continued her great day in the field scoring 43 off just 22 deliveries with three sixes and 3 fours before being dismissed by Maisy Gibson in the 7th over with 37 more runs to win. Opener Suzie Bates (25*) and Erin Burns (23*) ensured there was no damage done as they easily amassed the required target and put the Sixers back on the number 1 spot in the points table.
