Georgia Voll is named the Player of the Match for her knock of 52 off 37 balls.
So, the Brisbane Heat Women has notched up an easy 26-run win over the Melbourne Renegades Women as they complete the double over the Renegades this season. For the second time this season, the Renegades won the toss and opted to bowl against the Heat and lost quite easily. They lost by 21 runs the other day, and today they go down by 26 runs.

Chasing a stiff target of 164 for the win on a challenging track, the Renegades lost three quick wickets as Hayley Matthews went for a silver duck, their skipper Sophie Molineux went for 4, and Evelyn Jones for a bronze duck. Josephine Dooley with her 40 off 28 balls and Courtney Webb with her unbeaten 47* off 40 balls showed tremendous resistance, but it was to no avail as they were always behind the game.

Ellie Falconer came and played a blinder of 27 off 11 balls. None of the other batters got into double figures as the Renegades ended with 137 all out after 19 overs with the help of six extras that were given by the Heat bowlers. All of those extras were wides.

Charli Knott was the pick of the bowlers for Brisbane Heat as she ended up with 3/19 in 4 overs. Courtney Sippel was good as well with her 2/13 in 3 overs. Amelia Kerr was effective as we expect her to be with 3/26 in 4 overs. Nicola Hancock was good with her medium pace as he finished with 2/26 in 4 overs. Jess Jonassen and Pooja Vastrakar went wicketless and went the distance, but the other bowlers made sure that they didn't suffer due to their bad day as the Heat had enough runs on the board to play with.

Earlier in the day, Brisbane Heat put into bat first by the Melbourne Renegades did not get off to the best of starts. Georgia Redmayne could muster only 3 runs while Danielle Wyatt on her debut for the Heat could muster 6. Grace Harris was, unfortunately, run out when she was looking good for her 20 runs. Georgia Voll stepped up to the plate and top scored for Heat scoring 52 off 37 balls. Amelia Kerr chipped in with 27 off 22 balls before she was run out.

Laura Harris chipped in with 14 off 5 balls with most of the runs coming in the Power Surge. Skipper Jess Jonassen was the last man run out for 16 off 14 balls. Pooja Vastrakar stayed unbeaten on her WBBL debut as she scored 13* off 5 balls. 8 extras were given by the Renegades bowlers as Heat ended with a competitive 163/8 in 20 overs.

Each of the Renegades bowlers apart from Ella Hayward picked up a wicket. So, the wickets were shared between Shabnim Ismail, Sophie Molineux, Hayley Matthews, Sarah Coyte, and Prestwidge picked up a wicket each. There were 3 run-outs in the innings as well. Matthews and Prestwidge despite taking wickets were taken to the cleaners.

So, the Heat Women win this game by 26 runs and climbs upwards in the points table while the Renegades lose two in a row after winning their opening game. A lot to think about for the Renegades going into their next game as Heat flies higher in the table.

18.6 A Kerr to E Hayward
W BOWLED!!! Amelia Kerr finishes things for Heat Women. Hayward shuffles across the stumps and on seeing it, Kerr bowls it quicker and flatter on the stumps, Hayward goes for the pull but misses it completely and sees the ball crash on the stumps. With this, Melbourne Renegades Women are knocked over on 137, losing the game by 26 runs.

18.1 A Kerr to S Ismail
W GONE. Ismail is stumped here. Beautifully bowled by Kerr. Bowls a flighted googly outside off from round the wicket, Ismail dances down the track and swings hard at it but misses it completely and Redmayne behind the stumps does the rest.

17.6 C Knott to S Ismail
1 Flighted delivery outside off, Ismail steps out and hits it towards long on for a single. End of a brilliant spell from Knott. She finishes with figures of 3/19 in her four overs.
17.5 C Knott to S Ismail
0 Drifting in on the pads, Ismail fails to connect on the flick and wears it on the pads. No run.
17.4 C Knott to S Coyte
W GONE. Coyte steps out of her crease against the flighted delivery and looks to hit it over covers but doesn't get it off the middle of the bat as Jonassen on the edge of the circle dives forward and takes a good catch. Renegades lose another and they need something special from Webb to get across the line.
