That's it from the 3-match ODI series between India and South Africa. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Tugral Azmi and AkshayaKrishna Polya and our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe. Stay safe, take care. Goodbye.
Shikhar Dhawan receives the Trophy as they defeat South Africa 2-1 in this three-match ODI series.
Shikhar Dhawan: "I am very very proud of the boys the way they have played in this series. They are all young boys and the way they carried responsibility, the way they showed maturity, I would like to thank the support staff creating such an environment for the boys making them comfortable. We were 1-nil down but the way we showed character at the end of the 1st game. It was amazing and we took all the positives out of that game and at the same time we knew we dropped a few catches so from the next game we saw that the boys really pulled their socks up and fielding wise they did great. We didn't put too much pressure on us For us it's all about process. We were focused on our process. I am enjoying the journey and I would look to keep performing consistently for whatever team I play. I didn't perform well in this series but I am very happy that all the young boys they stepped up and showed great character. The wickets weren't batting friendly. All the wickets were tough except the last because after the dew it got easier The credit goes to all the boys, the batting and bowling unit. The bowlers were very disciplined today and the spinners did well to restrict the total."
Mohammad Siraj (Players of the Series): "You acquire a lot of confidence when you perform for a strong squad. I had to shoulder the burden. At the beginning of each inning, I attempt to determine the appropriate lengths. You need to have that inner fire and enthusiasm to be a fast bowler. I'm satisfied with my performance and grateful for the Player of the Series award."
Kuldeep Yadav (Player of the Match): "To be very honest, I am very happy. I am really happy. I am getting the man of the match award for the first time since my comeback after my injury. I have my rhythm back, my length back.

My main motto is to bowl in the right areas and get the wickets. I always see to get my rhythm correct. It has been a motto since I have been back after injury. Now, I will play a few T20 games in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. and will try to perform well."
Game Changer of the Match: Washington Sundar
Trusted Player of the Match: Shahbaz Ahmed
David Miller (South Africa Captain): "Very tough and it doesn't help when you score 100. Too much pressure for the bowlers. Disappointing result today to finish off a series like that is pretty disappointing.

It was kinda two paced as it was stoppy and skidding as well. It had little bit of turn as well, no excuse at all but in these conditions batting first, there was rain in the past 2 days. The pitch was under covers so a bit tacky as well.

We were really good in some areas but we have failed to find our feat in past few months. We have our T20 team that's doing really well. In one-day cricket we need to extend the good periods of the game and just read the flow of the game a bit better."
Here we are back with the presentations!
Team India now jump up to the top spot of the ICC CWC ODI Super League Points Table with 129 points thanks to their 13 wins from 18 matches.
Shubman Gill: "I am a little disappointed to get out at 49. But it is a pleasure that we won the decider game, our bowlers did well in the first innings very accurately, due to which we were able to stack South Africa on the small target.

Many young players were present, including me. We demonstrated that we have the necessary character by the way we returned. We only discussed it to express ourselves and to believe in the process. It doesn't matter what happens.

We are in an exciting period with the 50-over Asia Cup approaching. There is undoubtedly a lot of excitement about the World Cup being held in India as it is happening here for the first time after 2011."
India equals the record of Australia for most international wins in a calendar year. India has 38 wins in 2022, while Australia had 38 wins back in 2003! But India has many matches coming up, so the record is there for the making!
A brilliant series win for the Shikhar Dhawan led Team India as they defeat the South African side 2-1 at the decider here in Delhi. India won the toss and elected to bowl first with Dhawan wanting to make full use of the moisture offered by the surface.

The Indian bowlers in a fascinating team effort bundled the Proteas out for 99 runs in 27.1 overs. Mohammed Siraj (2/17), Washington Sundar (2/15) and Avesh Khan (5-1-8-0) did the early damage bowling some tight overs and picking up 3 wickets in the first powerplay.

Kuldeep Yadav picked up 4 wickets for 18 runs in the middle overs and teamed with Shahbaz Ahmed 2/32 to bundle the men in green for their lowest ODI total against India. Sundar and Siraj chipped in with a couple of wickets each as Heinrich Klaasen (34) top scored for South Africa.

Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill got off to a flier in response adding 42 runs in 6 overs when Dhawan departed owing to a mixup in the field. Last game's hero Ishan Kishan soon followed the skipper back in the hut after getting a soft nick through to the keeper against the bowling of Bjorn Fortuin.

Second ODI's centurion Shreyas Iyer and Gill then continued the momentum adding 39 runs in no time but Gill fell short of his half century by just a run when Lungi Ngidi trapped him in front with 3 more runs to win. Sanju Samson then joined Iyer before the last game's hero sealed the deal with a mighty six taking India home by 7 wickets and 185 balls remaining.

Stay tuned as we return with the post match coverage.
Ninaad: Shreyas Iyer finishes it off in style!! Definitely my player of the series! 191 runs at an average of 191! Massive!
19.1 M Jansen to S Iyer
6 SIXXX!! Shreyas Iyer finishes it off in style. Length delivery and outside the off. Iyer hits through the line and keeps his pose. Crunches the lofted stroke and clears the long-off fence easily. India win by 7 wickets to seal another bilateral series!
