Well that's it from our end folks! This is Anirudh, signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Ayan, and the reliable scorer/analyst Raju! See you on the next one!
Moeen Ali | England Skipper: "I thought we were outstanding, we pulled the game back and at the death we were fantastic, our batters chased down the total pretty well. Those wickets were very crucial from Luke Wood and Adil Rashid and both bowled really well. I thought we were really smart with the way we chased, and Alex Hales in particular showed why he is one of the best openers in the country and Brook is a massive talent and this will give him a lot of confidence."
Babar Azam | Pakistan Skipper: "The way we utilized the first powerplay was pretty good for us, me and Rizwan stuck to our plans but then the momentum shifted to them after the first 10 overs. Credit to Rashid for bowling well. They started bowling with slower ones and understood the conditions better but our batting department needs improvement for sure. We are trying different combinations and players to find the out the best strategy for the World Cup."
Luke Wood | Player of the Match: "I enjoyed my performance, it's my debut and it could not have been better. The conditions are different to England, but you work them out quickly and it's a good team performance for the win. We kept taking wickets which way key and we had a pretty good backend and the batters did well to chase that down."

AND ENGLAND SEAL A COMPREHENSIVE WIN OVER PAKISTAN BY 6 WICKETS! They draw the first blood and take a 1-0 lead in this 7 match T20I series! Pakistan will be massively disappointed to let this one slip through their grasp.

England won the toss and elected to field first. The decision almost backfired when the imperious opening duo of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam put on a 85-run opening stand to take Pakistan to the strongest of positions. However, as Azam fell, so did the rest of the batting order of Pakistan.

Wickets started falling at regular intervals, with Rizwan going onto score 68 runs off 46 deliveries, eventually stepping out of the crease and throwing away his wicket to a stumping. The debutant Luke Wood was the pick of the bowlers with the figures of 3/24 from his 4 overs! Thanks to Iftikhar Ahmed's late innings charge, Pakistan posted a total of 158/7 from their 20 overs.

Come the chase, England got off to a flier with the first over leaking runs! However, after a second quiet over, Phil Salt fell in the third to Dahani. Dawid Malan came in and stabilized the early blow with Alex Hales looking in match-winning form today.

Malan fell immediately after the powerplay, leaving England at a decent position of 53/2 after 6.2 overs. Ben Duckett came in and played in a helping hand before giving way to Harry Brook. Together with Hales, Brook stitched a partnership of 55 runs with the opener to all but guarantee England's victory. Alex Hales top scored for England, smashing a half-century on his comeback while Brook ended the innings unbeaten at 42 runs from 25 balls.

Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz bowled well for Pakistan today but not well enough to pick up wickets and put England under massive scoreboard pressure. In the end the English were well prepared on their return to Pakistan after 17 years and they will be elated to have got the win considering the depleted squad they have!
19.2 S Dahani to H Brook
4 FOUR! That's the game for England. Full toss outside off, Brook takes it on as he goes inside out over extra cover as the ball races away to the fence to finish things off in style. Brook stays unbeaten as England wins by 6 wickets with 4 balls to spare to go 1-0 up in this 7-match series.
19.1 S Dahani to H Brook
0 Dahani will bowl the final over.  Nails in the yorker, Brook makes room to play it away towards the off-side and misses through to the keeper.

18.6 H Rauf to H Brook
1 Short of a good length on the pads, Brook tucks it away towards square leg for a single to end the over and keep the strike for the next over. 3 off 6 now required.
18.5 H Rauf to M Ali
1 Short of a length, Moeen plays it hard as he gets an inside edge into the pitch as the ball rolls away to the off-side as they get a single here.
18.4 H Rauf to M Ali
0 Back of a length slower ball outside off, Moeen swings and misses through to the keeper.
