NIKHIL: So, we are done here with Amo Sharks winning the game, as they restricted Pamir Zalmi to a total of 101 while chasing down a total of 130 which proved to be a bit too much for Pamir Zalmi.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Shapoor Zadran-led Pamir Zalmi demonstrated a dazzling bowling performance that restricted the Sharks to a below-par total of 130/9.
The Sharks started on a positive note after orchestrating 45 in the first four overs, however, they soon failed to capitalize on the momentum. The Sharks kept on losing wickets on one hand, and it was the score of 54 by Ihsanullah Janat that has given them a chance to fight back.
For Zalmi, Usman Ghani stood out in the first innings with his figures of 3/13. Masood bowled amazingly to not even concede a single boundary in his spell picking up a couple of wickets as well.
In reply, Zalmi started with a cautious approach almost a Test-match approach where they blocked everything and just dispatched the bad deliveries. Zalmi managed to score 20 runs for the loss of no wicket in the powerplay.
The pressure got big on the openers of Zalmi as Shafaq departed in the 7th over as he tried to sweep Khan on a score of 13 in 29 deliveries. Zadran then joined Popal Zadran in the middle and the two rotated the strike on a regular basis to post a partnership of 9 runs which wasn’t good enough. Karimi then walked in and he showed the intent which was needed for the Zalmi side to go on and win the game, as he scored a quickfire 23 runs that brought down the required run rate but it was too little too late as Popal Zadran was in block out everything zone today.
The lack of intent on hitting the deliveries and rotating the strike was the main problem for the Zalmi side as they played a lot of dot deliveries today.
For the Sharks, Jamshid Khan and Asghar Atal Bowled brilliantly and took a couple of wickets to dismantle the backbone of this run chase which never go going.
