Vatsal: A brilliant win here for the Boost Defenders as they have defended as their name says 9 off the final over. Putting into bat 1st Defenders lost A Malik early for 6 but Eisakhel with 27 and Skipper Shahidi with 15 steadied the innings before they were dismissed. A Zazai coming in at number 4 remained unbeaten on 67 off 42 balls. He was well supported by Shinwari(24) as they took their team to a competitive 157 for 6 in their 20 overs.
The Knights' bowling was good throughout as they picked wickets at regular intervals and S Totakhil was the pick of the bowlers with 2-20 in his 3 overs and was well supported by A Mohammad, Z Khan, and B Sami who picked a wicket a piece.
Chasing 158 for victory, R Hassan got dismissed early for 3 but M Shahzad scored 77 off 52 balls and was well supported by A Noor who scored 20. Afghan could not contribute much as he was gone for 9. Kharote scored a quick 12 but was dismissed in the last over trying to up the ante. G Naib tried hard to get his team over the line but did not succeed as he was bowled off the last ball of the match for 22.
The Defenders' bowling was impressive as all their bowlers except Rahman were impressive. M Saleem and A Zia picked up 3 wickets and were ably supported by f Haq Farooqi and Zia ur Rehman who bowled economical spells. A good victory overall for the Boost Defenders.
