15:20 IST| That brings us to the end of the coverage of this rain-affected encounter between Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat. Rain🌧️ won this game as the match was abandoned after the first innings. Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Hitesh Peddurwar signing off along with my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Until then stay safe...
15:16 IST| The news coming from the center is that it's still raining there and the match has been abandoned.
14:56 IST| It has started raining ⛈️ again here at North Sydney Oval. The covers are on the field and the start of the second innings will be delayed.
02:46 PM IST | Akshay: What a fantastic end to the innings. 68 runs have been scored in the last five overs as Brisbane Heat post 147 on the board at the end of their innings, losing six wickets. Nathan McSweeney and Michael Neser teed off in the end as cameos from them have helped them post a very good total. They carry the momentum heading into the innings break.

It was a delayed start to this game due to rain. The game was reduced to 13 overs per side. Heat got off to a flying start after being asked to bat first. Colin Munro went berserk from the word go as they scored 29 at the end of the mandatory two-over powerplay. Munro hit six maximums in his knock of 38 of just 14 balls before getting departed to Steve O’Keefe.

The wicket of Munro helped the Sixers pull back things. They bowled beautifully and kept picking wickets at regular intervals. Suddenly, half of the Heat side was back in the hut at the end of seven overs. Nathan McSweeney along with Michael Neser hit some lusty blows in the end to take their side to a competitive total at the end of their innings. Both McSweeney and Neser remained unbeaten on 28 and 45 respectively as they put 56 between them to help their side post 147 on the board.

Steve O'Keefe was the pick of the bowlers for Sydney Sixers. He picked up three wickets, giving away 26 runs in his three overs. The other bowlers were a bit expensive as they got dispatched into the stands at the back end of the innings. The short boundaries and wet ball might help the Sixers but they will have to be on their toes to chase down this total. Don't go anywhere as we will be back shortly with the chase.

6 SIX!!!! Neser gets to his highest T20 score with this six. Fuller length delivery on the middle stump line, Neser clears his front leg and smokes it over the deep mid-wicket region for six runs. He runs back towards the pavilion as soon as he hits the six because it has started to drizzle again here at North Sydney Oval.
12.5 H Kerr to N McSweeney
1 With this single, 50-run partnership comes up between this duo. Fuller length delivery on the leg stump line, Nathan chips it uppishly towards deep mid-wicket region.
12.4 H Kerr to M Neser
1 Yorker outside the off-stump line, Neser guides it towards backward point.
12.3 H Kerr to M Neser
2 Excellent running between the wickets by this pair. Yorker on the middle stump line, Neser digs it out towards deep mid-wicket region, the throw from the fielder was wide and the batters scamper for two runs.
12.2 H Kerr to M Neser
4 FOUR MORE!!!! Pitched up down the leg stump line, Neser waits back and glances it fine down towards the deep fine leg region for four runs.
12.1 H Kerr to M Neser
4 FOUR!!!!! Low full toss outside the off-stump line, Neser shuffles across and ramps it over the short fine leg fielder, the ball falls just short of the ropes and rolls towards the fence.

11.3 C Jordan to M Neser
4 FOUR MORE!!!! The runs are flowing away here for Brisbane Heat!!!! Back of the length delivery angling into the pads, Neser tries to work it down towards the fine leg region but gets it on the inside half of the bat and the ball goes fine towards the fine leg region for four runs.
11.2 C Jordan to M Neser
