That’s a wrap from our side as well. We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentators Ninaad Dixit, and Arijit Kundu, and Scorer/Analyst Paras Yadav, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌
Ashton Turner (Perth Scorchers Captain): "I think we bowled really well and got ourselves ahead in the game. The surface looks much better than the batters made it look which is unfortunate here as Perth has some beautiful batting wickets and the outfield is quick as well so you get value for your shots and we got ourselves in a pretty ordinary position. We sorta felt it slipping away from us. Sometimes in T20 cricket you get caught up trying to play defensive. 20 overs can still be a long time in some games. Jhye played really nicely, he was calm, he was sort of guiding me through that stage so really pleasing getting a win in the early stage of the tournament."

6:57 PM IST | Deepak: Scorchers overcome early setbacks to triumph over Strikers with a 3-wicket victory with five balls to spare.🎯 All credit goes to the partnership between Jhye Richardson and Ashton Turner.

Earlier, after deciding to bat first in the first inning, the Adelaide Strikers posted 133 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Chris Lynn was the top scorer for them, as he amassed 35 runs off 34 balls. On the flip side, the Perth Scorchers' Andrew Tye made his mark on the game with some impressive bowling, taking 3 wickets for just 30 runs in 4 overs.

The Perth Scorchers got off to a rough start in their response to the Adelaide Strikers' score of 133 runs. They lost Faf du Plessis in the first over after he scored just 6 runs off 4 balls. Adam Lyth and Nick Hobson soon followed, leaving the Scorchers in a difficult position. Josh Inglis and Aaron Hardie tried to turn things around, scoring at a rapid pace, but their efforts were cut short when Inglis was dismissed after scoring 19 runs off 12 balls, and Hardie shortly after, departing with 22 runs off 17 balls. At the halfway point of the inning, the Scorchers were struggling at 73/6.

Despite facing early setbacks, Jhye Richardson and Ashton Turner stepped up and took control of the batting for the Perth Scorchers. The duo worked well together, rotating the strike and building a crucial partnership of 43 runs for the seventh wicket. Richardson eventually departed after scoring 18 runs off 27 balls. Ashton Turner💪 played a crucial role in leading the Perth Scorchers to victory, remaining unbeaten until the end of the match and scoring an impressive 48 runs off 38 balls. His impressive performance with the bat helped carry the Scorchers to a victory over the Adelaide Strikers.

Despite their best efforts, the Adelaide Strikers were unable to come out on top in this match. Matthew Short and Henry Thornton each took a couple of wickets for the Strikers, while Rashid Khan, Ben Manenti, and Colin de Grandhomme each contributed one wicket. Despite their solid performance with the ball, they were unable to slow down the momentum of the Scorchers and ultimately fell short of victory.

Stay tuned for the presentations...
