Adelaide Strikers were off to a disastrous start while chasing a total of 167 runs. Michael Neser scalped the wicket on the first ball of the innings.
Strikers kept on losing the wickets in the regular intervals and never looked like they will be able to chase down the total. But there was still some hope for them as Colin de Grandhomme and Thomas Kelly tried to steer the sinking ship.
This duo glued a partnership of 73 runs for the 5th wicket. Kelly departed after scoring 43 runs. He was followed by his partner Colin de Grandhomme, he walked back after scoring 37 runs. There on the Strikers never looked like they would cross the line as they kept on losing the wickets.

6 SIXXX!! Siddle got some lucky runs but not enough to win the match. Back of a length delivery, into the middle. Siddle backs away as he tries to pull this into the leg side but gets the top edge of the blade. The ball flies over the keeper to the long stop region for a maximum. With this, the Heat registered their first win and defeated the Strikers by 6 runs.
