So, that is it from our coverage of the second T20I in Dunedin. Both teams will head off to Queenstown for the decider of this T20I series and will be played on Saturday. Do make sure to join us for the decider and stick around to our network for all other cricketing actions across the globe. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Adam Milne has been awarded the player of the match for his career-best T20I figures of 5/26.
9:23 AM IST: Tim Seifert finishes things off in style as New Zealand has put in a commanding performance to win this game by 9 wickets with 32 balls to spare to win here in Dunedin and level the series at 1-1. After losing a thriller at Auckland, the Kiwis bounce back in style by outplaying the visitors in all departments of the game.

Chasing a paltry target of 142 for the win, it was Chad Bowes who was the initial aggressor as he came out of the blocks and scored a quickfire 31 off 15 balls. Tim Seifert played himself in and after Bowes fell took the role of the aggressor. He carried his bat and played some dazzling innovative strokes and remained unbeaten on 79* off 43 balls. Skipper Tom Latham played a useful hand of 20* off 30 balls as he could afford to play this innings considering the match situation. The Kiwis got over the line in just 14.4 overs. Loads of extras given by the Sri Lankans with the ball.

Kasun Rajitha got the only wicket of the innings as he picked Chad Bowes. The rest of the bowlers remained wicketless. Maheesh Theekshana was economical giving away only 18 runs in 4 overs. They had an under par score to defend and were ineffective to say the least.

Earlier in the game, put into bat first, Sri Lanka showed promise in the initial overs. They lost their openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis early. Kusal Perera and Dhananjaya de Silva played well and had a nice partnership. Perera scored 35 off 32 balls. Dhananjaya scored 37 off 26 which proved to be the top score. But once these two fell, Charith Asalanka was left high and dry as wickets kept on tumbling around him. Asalanka scored 24 off 19 balls. After Asalanka, it was single digit scores all the way as no one showed the fight. They were guilty of playing the across the lines shot and fell. Eventually, they were bowled out for 141 in 19 overs failing to bat their 20 overs.

Adam Milne was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand finishing with exceptional figures of 5/26 in 4 overs. He was ably supported by Ben Lister who finished with 2/26 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Henry Shipley, Rachin Ravindra, and Jimmy Neesham. Ish Sodhi bowled 3 economical overs for 17 runs.

So, a comprehensive win for New Zealand as they win this by 9 wickets to level the series at 1-1. It sets up for a mouth-watering decider in Queenstown on Saturday.
14.4 Silva to T Seifert
6 SIXXX! Seifert finishes things off with yet another innovative shot. This was more of a reverse slap. It was tossed up on the good length and pitched on the woods as well. Seifert was quick to change his grip and twirl again to send the ball sailing over the deep extra covers ropes. Back-to-back maximums for Seifert and New Zealand have won the 2nd T20I quite comfortably to level the series 1-1.
14.3 Silva to T Seifert
6 SIXXX! That is a massive hit from Seifert. 89 M. Tossed fuller and on the middle and leg, Seifert gets down on one knee and reads the ball perfectly to slog that over the deep mid-wicket fence for a huge maximum. Unbelievable power-hitting.
14.2 Silva to T Seifert
2 Fuller and on the leg stump line, Seifert again twirls and switch hits that towards deep extra covers for a couple of runs.
14.1 Silva to T Seifert
4 FOUR! Silva comes back into the attack and Seifert greets him with an audacious shot. Short and outside off, Seifert swivels and changes his grip to switch hit that over deep backward point for a boundary.
