19.45 IST: Comprehensive performance from Bangladesh to level the series by 1-1 with one match to go. Zimbabwe wanted to replicate what they did in the last match perhaps that's why they decided to bat first after winning the toss. However, Mosaddek Hossain gave them plenty of heartaches upfront and rattled their top order. Hossain took the first five wickets of the host and once Zimbabwe were 5/31 in 6.5 overs, just when it looked like it will be difficult for them to cross even the 100 mark, the hero of the last match, Sikandar Raza again rescued them along with Ryan Burl who also played handy knock down the order. The duo empowered them to the respectable total of 135/8 in 20 overs.
Moreover, courtesy to Litton Das(56 off 33) at one stage Bangladesh was cruising in the chase (78/1 in 8.5 overs). But some exceptional spells from Zimbabwe's spinners brought them back in the game with a couple of early wickets in the middle. But when it looked like the floodgates are open for them, The duo of Afif Hossain (30 off 28 balls) and Najmul Hossain Shanto (19 off 21 balls) held their nerves and chased down the total for Bangladesh despite playing a few dot balls early on their innings.
They have levelled the series with this magnificent effort and now the two sides will meet in the series decider on Tuesday (2 August) at the same venue. Hang on for the presentation folks.
