Rayalaseema Kings had a poor start and Abhishek Reddy got out on the second ball of the first over. Rayalaseema's opener Reddy sat without opening the account and lost the wicket without moving the scoreboard. Shaik Rasheed and Prasanth Kumar try to take charge of King's innings, together they put up an important partnership of 45 runs for the 2nd wicket and brought the match to a good turn. During the powerplay, Rayalaseema batters had put 43 runs on the board without losing any more wickets. Other batters also chipped in with some runs but nobody managed to capitalize on their innings. Soon after the powerplay ended, Rasheed (14 off 19) was run-out due to poor communication. Krishna joined Prasanth in the middle, but he lost their wickets cheaply by scoring only 7 runs.
