Rain has the last laugh at the VDCA stadium, it was inevitable that the match would get abandoned and so it did!! Uttarandra Lions won the toss and opted to bowl first on a dry-looking surface, Sumanth and Maheep walked out to open the batting for Bezawada Tigers and just like yesterday against Vizag Warriors, the pair was looking in a very aggressive mood. Y Promod and Kaldhi Kumar opened the bowling for Uttarandra, the latter got the first breakthrough on his second delivery, Sumanth perished in trying to maximize the powerplay. Pyla Avinash joined Maheep Kumar in the middle and together the pair steadied the ship, they were quite watchful but that only lasted for a while as they kept losing wickets. Hence the Powerplay just yielded 19 runs with the loss of 3 wickets!! Bezawada Tigers were 23-3 at the end of over number 7 when it started to pour and the rain was relentless and the match was abandoned!!
