That’s it from Eliminator of the CPL between St Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs. This is Vatsal signing off alongside Nikhil and our scorer/analyst Paras. Do join us for more exciting fixtures across the globe. Until then, take care and goodbye from us.

Rovman Powell (Winning Skipper): " Very pleased with the way the bowlers turned out and got their A game. The wicket was slow and the ball was skidding. Excellent effort by Nabi to get us to 148 after we were in a difficult position at the 17-over mark. The spinners bowled really well, especially Fabian Allen and Imad, who stuck to their strengths. We are all ready for the Guyana side in Qualifier 2. The crowd will be in their support but we are up to play good cricket"
Faf Du Plessis (Losing Skipper): "The last two overs were expensive, 130 was a par score, 32 off the last 2 gave them the momentum. It wasn't the best batting performance, but it was a good inning from Nabi. Charles has been consistent right through the season, he has shown how good a player he's been for us, but it didn't turn out well for him today, and that's part of the game. From the bowling perspective, Alzarri has been the stand-out, he came out and showed us his capability has a very good future ahead."
Mohammad Nabi (Player of the Match): "We performed well after a long time in the field. The wicket wasn't easy, you needed to spend some time and so I targeted the last couple of overs looking to get to 150. We knew it would be difficult to chase this one and 148 was a competitive score. We felt it was an even score, just wanted to bowl straight and keep them under pressure. The ball was skidding at times and stayed low or high at other times, it wasn't easy at all to bat. The crowd here has been amazing, they'll ( Amazon Warriors) have home support but we'll look to perform well tomorrow."
VATSAL: The Jamaica Tallawahs have defended 148 beating St Lucia Kings in the Eliminator and have won by a handsome margin of 33 runs.

Chasing 149 for victory, St Lucia Kings got off to a poor start losing Charles for just 3. Dickwella (8) and Chase (1) departed soon after leaving the Kings at 55 for 3.

Faf Du Plessis played some good shots but was unlucky to be bowled by a ball that kept low for 41 off 26. The middle order crumbled and did not contribute much to the score. Hose with 18 and Joseph at the end scored unbeaten 28 as the St Lucia Kings were all-out for 115.

The Tallawahs' bowling was outstanding. Amir set the tone with 2 for 34 in his 3 overs. The spinners were brilliant tonight. Imad Wasim got 2 for 21 in his spell. Nabi and F Allen were terrific picking 3 each and set up an all-round performance to move to Qualifier 2 against Guyana.

Earlier in the day, Tallawahs after putting into Bat 1st, started off in a dodgy manner as they lost 2 wickets scoring just 29 in the powerplay. King and Lewis departed with just 21 runs on the scorecard. Powell too departed soon with just 47 runs on the scoreboard. Brooks and Reifer then build up a partnership of 51 runs to rescue the Tallawahs from staring towards a horrible-looking scorecard. A late cameo from Nabi of 31* in 15 deliveries helped the Tallawahs to post a more than fighting total on such a track. Shamarh Brooks was the top scorer with 47 runs and take Tallawahs to 148 for 8 in their 20 overs.

For the Kings, everyone was well-instructed on what to do on this track and they executed the plans to perfection. Wiese was outstanding as he scalped 3 wickets and Alzarri Joseph took a couple too. While Forde, Royal, and Williams picked up a wicket each.

A Brilliant win for Jamaica Tallawahs.

Stay Tuned for Presentations.

17.6 M Amir to K Williams
W OUT!!! OH MY GOD, what have you done Williams? Joseph scratches his head in disgust. Fuller delivery wide of the off-stump, Williams looks for an expensive drive but gets and edge and that has been taken by Lewis. It is all over for the Kings.
17.5 M Amir to A Joseph
1 Fuller delivery wide of the off-stump, Joseph has driven this past the diving extra-cover for a single.
17.4 M Amir to A Joseph
6 SIX!!! A top stroke by Joseph and there is still life left in this game. Back-of-length delivery towards the ribs, Joseph has swirled and swung at this as he lofts this out of the park for a maximum.
17.3 M Amir to A Joseph
4 FOUR!!! A couple of boundaries in the first three deliveries and Joseph is up and running. Good length delivery wide of the off-stump, Joseph has sliced this over the fielder at point for a boundary.
17.2 M Amir to A Joseph
0 Back of length towards the off-stump, Joseph looks to pull this but he has missed out on this as this has hit the toe end of his bat.
17.1 M Amir to A Joseph
4 FOUR!!! Good start to the over for Joseph and not so for Amir. Fuller delivery on the pads, Joseph has glanced this towards fine leg for a boundary. Joseph needs a lot more of such strokes and all on his own.
49 needed by the Kings in the last 3 overs with a wicket left. It's all but over for the Kings here tonight.
