Well that's all from us for today folks! This is Anirudh, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshaya and our scorer/analysts Paras Yadav and Ghanendra Singh Thakur! It was a pleasure to bring you this game live! We will see you on the next one!
Shimron Hetmyer | Guyana Amazon Warriors Captain: "I don't think that the conditions played any role, the Royals played really well today. We are comfortable in whatever we have to do as a team, and we always back ourselves and even today we backed ourselves to get 196. The only concern is the few niggles some guys had, apart from that we know what went wrong today and where we have to improve."
Kyle Mayers | Barbados Royals Captain: "Of course, we are happy with the win. We played together as a team. Rahkeem is a great player. He knows his limitations. He played well. An emerging talent. Has a good power game. He didn't get runs from his return, but we were backing him. Glad to be in the finals. We are happy to do it with the first chance. Happy to be getting that extra rest day. Cheers."
Rahkeem Cornwall (Player of the Match): "Well, it was about giving yourself a chance out there. The energy in the dressing room is good. We are happy, and we have good confidence. I am happy with my 91 as I contributed to my team's win. It is a good feeling to be in the finals. I am happy to do the job with the ball as well. Our boys are in full confidence. Looking forward to doing well in the final. We played well from the start, and we are there because of our consistent performance. Thank you."
BARBADOS ROYALS COMPLETE A COMPREHENSIVE VICTORY TO MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE FINAL OF CPL 2022! They defeat Guyana Amazon Warriors by 87 runs! And it was a complete rout to say the least!

Guyana Amazon Warriors won the toss and elected to field first, and the decision backfired in a major way. After keeping things quite in the first couple of overs, Rahkeem Cornwall and Kyle Mayers exploded to register a 50 run opening stand inside the powerplay! Cornwall went on a mammoth carnage as he registered a total of 91 runs off 54 balls.

After the powerplay the momentum shifted a bit in the Warriors' favour as they picked up 2 wickets in quick succession to bring Azam Khan to the crease. There was no looking back after that, as Azam Khan, Rahkeem Cornwall and the Barbados Royals snatched the momentum back to register a massive total of 195/5 from their 20 overs with Azam Khan going on to smash another half-century to his name.

Come the chase, the Warriors never got going. The Royals' skipper Mayers led by example by picking up Gurbaz in the very first over and the Warriors never recovered. By the end of the powerplay they were reeling at 36/4, and kudos to the Royals to put the choke on as they kept pushing the Warriors down the deep dark hole.

Shimron Hetmyer top scored for the Warriors with 37 runs off 29 deliveries, while the other batters failed to breach the 20 run mark. Ramon Simmonds was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 3/17 from his 3 overs, while Cornwall and Mujeeb chipped in with 2 wickets each.

In the end, the Barbados Royals smashed themselves into the finals and they will await their next opponents who very well could be the same team as the Guyana Amazon Warriors have a second bite of the cherry tomorrow evening! The tournament is still left my friends!
The celebrations are on hold for just a little bit as the third umpire is checking the catch! The soft signal is out, and IT IS GIVEN!
17.4 H Walsh to I Tahir
W WICKETTT!!! Done and dusted here in the Qualifier-1! Barbados Royals into the finals! Hang on! There is a catch check. Fuller and around the off from round the wicket. Tahir sits down on one knee and goes for a slog sweep. Gets the top edge, which almost carries over the wide long-on fence. Harry Tector at long on runs across and catches it near the ropes. As he losses balance while going over the ropes, he throws it back in the air. Tector comes back into the field of play to complete the catch. Third umpire replays suggest the same. OUT!
17.3 H Walsh to Sinclair
1 A leg break, good length and outside the off. Sinclair cuts it to deep covers for a single.
17.2 H Walsh to Sinclair
4 FOURR!!! Back-to-back boundaries. Fuller length and outside the off. Sinclair uses his feet and tries to hard with a drive. Gets the outside edge to the left of the fielder at first slip for a boundary. Mayers dives but it was too fast to catch.
100 UP FOR GUYANA AMAZON WARRIORS!
17.1 H Walsh to Sinclair
4 FOURRR!!! Hundred up for Guyana. Tosses it fuller and outside the off. Sinclair drives at it and gets the outside edge through the third man region for a streaky boundary.
