Milestone
That brings us to the end of the coverage of this fantastic encounter between the Barbados Royals and Guyana Amazon Warriors. It was Barbados Royals' day tonight as they sneaked away with a victory. Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Hitesh Peddurwar signing off along with my co-commentator Ovaise Shariff and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Until then stay safe and have a wonderful weekend....
Shimron Hetmyer(Losing Captain): " Our bowlers have been doing a fantastic job for us, It was a fresh wicket so I thought of bowling first and giving an idea to our batters. I guess it is just for us to just to do our best and keep smiling at the end of the day it is what it is we can't change the end result we had a good glimpse here and there just we need to be consistent."
David Miller (Barbados Royals, Captain): "Looking back on a tough wicket like that, that partnership changed the momentum in the game!! It was a brilliant partnership which was the defining part of the game!! No, not too much, I think we have to wait for the game to finish, I think we were in a great position to win the last game as well. It's just a matter of focusing on executing the plans. We'll take one game at a time from here. It's been great, coming in as a captain, I have learnt so much!! The support staff have been very supportive throughout. I have to head off for International duties now."
Jason Holder (Player of the match): "I wanted to get a partnership and get ourselves back in the game. The rain kinda played it in our favour, to get past 100 from that stage was a commendable effort. I try to be as calm as possible and focus on execution. It's a matter of continuing with this momentum and trying to win the next game!! The fans have been great, I would like to thank them for coming in numbers to support us."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
BR won by 29 runs (DLS METHOD)
Barbados Royals have defended the total of 111 runs in 16 overs (DLS) comfortably and sneaked away with a victory by 29 runs. They have sealed their spot in the playoffs with this victory.

While chasing a target of 111(DLS) Guyana Amazon Warriors didn't get off to a good start. Paul Stirling and Chandrapaul Hemraj opened the Innings for GAW. This duo glued a partnership off just 6 runs off 21 balls for the 1st wicket. Barbados Royals bowlers bowled pretty well in the powerplay and kept it tight. The wickets were tumbling down for the GAW at regular intervals and the required run rate was piling up.GAW lost their 5 wickets just at a score of 42 runs in 10.4 overs.

GAW never looked like they will chase down this target as they were unable to stitch a partnership in the middle. Only three batters were able to get to a double-digit score out of 11 batters.Odean Smith was the top scorer for GAW as he scored 15 runs.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman was exceptional with the bowl today, he bowled continuously in the tight lines and didn't allow the batters to get over him. He bowled scalped one wicket and gave away just 4 runs off his 4-over spell. Rahkeem Cornwall scalped a couple of wickets and gave away just 12 runs in his 3-over spell. Obed McCoy scalped a couple of wickets in his 3-over spell and gave away 24 runs.

Earlier in the game, Guyana Amazon Warriors won the toss and invited Barbados Royals to bat first.

Barbados Royals got off to a devastating start. They lost their 4 wickets just for 38 runs. Jason Holder was the only man who held the one end pretty well. Then rain played a spoilsport and the match was reduced to 16 overs a side. Jason Holder(40 off 33) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman(19 off 9started scoring at a brisk rate and took their team to a total of 107 runs in 16 overs. The DLS target was 111 for Guyana Amazon Warriors in 16 overs.

Spinners did the trick for Guyana Amazon Warriors. Chandrapaul Hemraj was the pick of the bowlers for GAW as he scalped 3 wickets and gave away just 15 runs in his 3-over spell. Junior Alvin Sinclair scalped a couple of wickets and Imran Tahir grabbed one wicket.
