11:50 PM IST: It was a dominating performance by St.Lucia Kings, the break definitely helped them to regroup and come out all guns blazing today. They were fantastic in all the departments today and won the match by 49 runs. That's it from us today, I am Ovaise Shariff signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Shashank Surly and scorer/analyst Chandan. Hope you enjoyed the game!! Goodbye and Good night!!
Dwayne Bravo (Losing Captain): "We should had used the conditions better after electing to bowl first, but David Wiese used his experience and took the game away from us. (On batters struggling form) I will keep backing my batters and will continue to encourage them and hope they deliver their best, they need some love and I am here to provide that for them."
Faf du Plessis (Winning Captain): "We had to be ahead of the game in a wicket like this, so a good start was needed, we did well in doing that and got to that score (189). I was surprised with David's figures, his lengths are really good and his plans were spot on like Bravo mentioned."
David Wiese (Man of the Match): "Faf and Charles gave us a good start and we cashed in the powerplay, which ensured us to get a competitive total, we were slightly above par as the surface was getting slow and low. We thought the wicket was tough to bat in the second half, we didn't want to give them any pace and we got rewarded, we have some tough games coming up and have to do well to stay in the fight."

St. Lucia Kings win the match by 49 runs!! It was a dominating performance with the bat on a sluggish pitch, which took the game away from St.Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the first half of the game!! Wiese took 3 important wicket in the middle overs and sealed things for the Kings.

Earlier in the day, St.Kitts and Nevis Patriots won the toss and opted to bowl first. Skipper Faf du Plessis took them off to a fantastic start, he was ultra-aggressive in the power play and smashed it all around the park. Faf was dismissed on 41 off 21 balls. Rashid Khan was introduced into the attack and took a wicket straight away, dismissing Dickwella. St.Lucia Giants were 60/2 at the end of the powerplay.

Johnson Charles played a calculated knock, he targeted the spinners in the middle phase, he changed gears and got some valuable runs for the Kings.

Rashid Khan was reintroduced into the attack and again got a wicket off the first ball of this spell too. after playing a wonderful hand of 41-ball 61, including 6 elegant fours and three mighty maximums. David Wiese contributed with a valuable 21* off 12 and Primus 18 off 10 took their side to a huge score of 189!

Dwayne Bravo was the pick of the bowlers giving away 26 runs off his four overs and picking up two important wickets. Rashid Khan got two wickets to his name but was a bit expensive. Duan Jansen ended with 1/24.

Evin Lewis and Andre Fletcher walked out to open the batting for SKNP and took them off to a delightful start, they had come out with aggressive intent and hammered to all parts as the ground.

Alzarri Joseph was introduced into the attack and managed to break the partnership which was looking dangerous, he dismissed Andre Fletcher for 9 and at this point, SKNP were 30-1 in 4.2 overs. The youngster from South Africa showed some flair in the middle but his innings was cut short by Williams on 32 of 19.

David Wiese was just fantastic with the ball in hand today, his slower balls were extremely hard to pick, he broke the back of the chase and SKNP could not recover, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. He finished with figures of 3 for 8 in his 4 overs, Wiese was able supported by Kesrick Williams who got 3 wickets as well for 32 runs in his 4 overs. Roshon Primus picked up 2 wickets in his 3 overs and Joseph finished with a solitary wicket in his 4 overs.

Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony.
