Well that's all for today folks! This is Anirudh, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Hitesh, and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan! See you on the next one!
Faf du Plessis(St Lucia Kings Captain): "We knew that they needed one over for the DLS but the rain stopped and we were back, It's really early on the tournament, and we have some concerning areas where we made mistakes we need to rectify in the later stage of the tournament."
David Miller (Barbados Royals Captain): "Credit to them, they really put us under pressure but we did all the hardwork through out the game and we came away with the victory. You can't really control the weather but to be one over short of victory would have hurt. The ball came on pretty well at the start but it got slower as the game progressed, but we played well in the later half of the innings to put up a good score."
Kyle Mayers(Player of the match): "It was pretty simple just go and express myself and I did it well it's good to bat with Cornwall he smashes the ball with ease. I was a bit concerned with the Faf and Joseph hitting hard after the rain delay but we did it well later.I am used to bowling with the new ball and I used the conditions pretty well today.I am very excited about the finals of the women's CPL."
BARBADOS ROYALS DEFEAT ST LUCIA KINGS BY 11 RUNS (DLS)! The Royals complete a comprehensive victory over the Kings in this rain curtailed encounter. With this victory The Royals maintain their 100% record in the tournament and go second in the table!

It all started with Rakheem Cornwall's blistering cameo of 32 runs from 17 balls, while his opening partner played a well paced innings of 36 runs from 23 balls. Rain interfered and momentum shifted in the Kings favor as they removed both the openers and put a stranglehold on the run scoring as experienced batters like de Kock struggled to find their timings.

However, a late innings burst from David Miller and Joshua Bishop saw Barbados cross the 160 run mark and put up a total of 162/7 from their 20 overs. Mark Deyal was the pick of the bowlers, he ended up with the figures of 2/15 from his quota of 4 overs.

The chase started as a nightmare for the Kings, as Kyle Mayers ran through their batting lineup picking up 4 wickets in his first two overs of the match while giving away only 4 runs! Rain entered the game once again, and St Lucia Kings were left to chase down 93 runs from 30 deliveries to close out the match.

Despite Faf du Plessis' (47 runs off 20 balls) unbeaten knock and Alzarri Joseph's (29 runs off 18 balls) best efforts, the Kings fell short by 11 runs to end the match in disappointment for their side.

A huge confidence boost for Barbados Royals and the momentum is firmly in their favor for the upcoming matches! Can they build on this victory? While St Lucia Kings will look to go back to the drawing board and try to come back with a better performance in their next match!
