So, that is it from us then!! Myself, Karthik Raj signing off along with my co-commentator, Shashank Surly. The tri-series action continues on Tuesday as Pakistan will be in action against New Zealand here at Christchurch. Until then, its a goodbye from us and do switch over to the coverage of either the India vs South Africa ODI or the Australia vs England T20I. There is a lot of cricket happening at the moment!

Kane Williamson (New Zealand Captain): "Bangladesh came out and played nicely, it was a real challenge to try and bat fluently on this wicket, we held things back nicely after the powerplay to hold them to a below par score total and get the job done in the second half. We took the boundary sizes into the consideration, our spinners bowled well along with the seamers. He (Ish Sodhi) has been amazing for us, aggressive player and has won lot of matches for us, pleased with his 100 wickets, hope there is more to come. We always want to work hard and get good in that department (fielding), it's a thing we always want to keep improving on. (On injuries) There is some bits and pieces going on with that, we will have to be smart in rotating players with the schedule being very dense."
Shakib Al Hasan: "Used wicket and the New Zealand spinners bowled very well. Probably tried to play too many big shots which caused us few wickets and we never got the momentum. We wanted someone to bat through. At the moment, it is not happening but we still have two games to make something of. Yes, both the games, our bowlers put their hands up. The fielders are also backing them up. We will keep on working on our batting. Obviously, it is hard to keep the energy up when you lose two games. However, we have the World Cup coming up. Doing well in the remaining two games will give us momentum."
Michael Bracewell (Player of the Match): "Having the experience in the nets has helped me well, challenging them in the nets has given me confidence. Ish (Sodhi) also bowled pretty well on this wicket. I still try hard in my batting, I just want to go out and do what my team needs me to do at the best of my abilities. (On the dropped chance) The sun was troubling today, didn't see go through my hands, but it isn't an excuse."
Michael Bracewell has been named the player of the match for his impressive spell of 2/14 from 4 overs.
Glenn Phillips finishes it off in style and immediately runs off to check the person who was struck by the winning six. Let us hope the person is fine but New Zealand will be elated with this professional performance. A convincing eight-wicket victory to make a strong comeback after losing the first game against Pakistan.

The pitch was on the slower side but the target of 142 was always going to be too small for New Zealand. Finn Allen tried to be aggressive but he played and missed quite a few before being dismissed by Shoriful Islam in the 4th over. The early wicket didn't prove to be a massive one because Devon Conway joined forces with skipper Kane Williamson to build a steady partnership. The hosts moved on slowly and reached 70 off 10 overs before Conway opened with glorious shots off both pacers and spinners alike.

With victory in sight, Williamson was dismissed by Hasan Mahmud for a laboured 30 off 29 balls before Phillips came in and smashed 23 off nine balls. In the end, the Kiwis reached the target with 13 balls to spare!
17.5 Islam to G Phillips
6 SIX!! Phillips reaches to 1000 T20I runs and finishes the game for New Zealand!! Shoriful for a change goes full but was staying down the leg side, Phillips clears his front leg and clubs it well over the cow corner boundary ropes and the Bangladeshi players were shaking hades even before the ball made it to the stands. Kiwis bounce back in this contest contest as they beat the tigers convincingly by 8 wickets.
We will have a change in ball now and the players are using the time to get a breather.
17.4 Islam to G Phillips
6 SIX!! Phillips has sent this miles deep into the stands. 84 meter hit. Shoriful bangs it in short and down the leg side, Phillips stands tall and pulls it with great authority and the ball was sailing through the breeze behind square leg for a maximum.
17.3 Islam to D Conway
1 Short in length and tight at the off stump, Conway hangs back and pushes it softly down towards mid on and steals a quick single.
17.2 Islam to G Phillips
1 Back of a length delivery at top of off, Phillips punches it through covers for a run.
17.1 Islam to G Phillips
4 FOUR!! Easy pickings for Glenn Phillips these. Good intention from Shoriful, goes short but fails in execution as it was well down the leg side, Phillips tickles it wide of the keeper and gets a boundary towards fine leg.
14 to win from last 3 overs.

16.6 T Ahmed to G Phillips
1 Slower ball, short in length and Phillips was early into his pull shot, inside edges it onto the ribs and the ball rolls down to backward point for a single.
16.5 T Ahmed to D Conway
1 Length ball straight at the stumps, Conway stays up and blocks it back past the bowler and will be a single towards mid off.
