So the New Zealand tour has finally ended! Team India must have learnt a lot of new things. With this, we end our coverage for this series. Do wait for our match report. Till then, it's a bbye from me, Anurag Dasgupta and Arjun Bhalla. And of course our scorer Manish Bishnoi.
Kane Williamson (New Zealand Captain): "It's been going reasonably well. The first game was series-defining. Little bit odd to have so much rain. The seamers were getting a bit from the wicket. He [Dary Mitchell] did a fantastic job with the wind. The focus is on the Pakistan Test now. There's freshness to that, new faces. But it'll be good to have time off."
Shikhar Dhawan (India Captain): "We are a young unit and they must have learnt something about bowling in good length areas. Today we were on the shorter side, Also it's important to take the partnership deep when there is overcast conditions. In Bangladesh, seniors will be back, so that'll be a practical journey towards the World Cup."
Tom Latham, Player of the Series: "Yeah, obviously, it (the 1st ODI) was a nice evening for the whole group and personally as well. I think we all also had a good time as well, but we all need to reflect on it nicely. Also, it also a bit of a shame that we didn't get much play in the last two games. But I think we played really good cricket in this series and it is nice to win the series. Yeah, I think we bowled brilliantly today in the morning. Of course, after winning the toss, there was some assistance off the wicket, but I think the guys managed to find the right length to get a little bit out of the surface to restrict them to 220. Also I think the way Finn and Devon went and played, outseeing out the pressure before unleashing at the end of the powerplay. A bit uncharacteristic, but a great start from those too. When we hit the right lengths, we can certainly get something out of the wicket. Even Mitchell did the same tonight. A lot of the guys have played the IPL together, so the banter between the guys is great. The more we play with each other around the world, the more those friendships and bonds grow."
Update, 14:36 IST: The game has been called off, which means New Zealand will take the series with a scoreline of 1-0. New Zealand were the better side and they actually deserved to win this series. They restricted India to a below par total of 219 and were on their course to chase the total. But rain god had something else planned for them.

This series has provided great learning curve for this young Indian side. Shubman Gill performed exceedingly well, Washington Sundar was outstanding in the ODI series, the young guns got a chancw to get experience at the international level.

India snatch the T20I series and New Zealand were victorious in the ODI series.
Update, 14:20 IST: Still pouring down heavily. Seems like rain god is angry with us. Some of the spectators have started to leave the stadium.
Update, 13:53 IST: Nothing good to report. Still raining in Christchurch. Covers are firmly in place and shortly we'll start to lose overs.
Update, 13:35 IST: Still two hours left before the game gets called off.
Update, 13:17 IST: Its pelting down at the moment. Rain is relentless. However, the good news is that the drainage system at Hagley Oval is top-notch. So I hope that the rain ends ASAP.
The covers are firmly on. This doesn't look like a light drizzle. Fingers crossed everyone. We need 20 overs minimum to get a result here. Right now we are two short of it.
And rain god is here! Just what everyone feared. New Zealand were going along well, but this break will certainly halt their momentum. Looks like a light drizzle.

Devon Conway
Arshdeep Singh
17.6 A Singh to D Conway
1 Jagging into the batter at a good length, Conway whips it to deep mid wicket for a single.
17.5 A Singh to D Conway
0 Nagging line, outside the off. Conway watches it all along and shoulders his arms to it.
17.4 A Singh to D Conway
4 Digs it short and Arshdeep gets the punishment. Conway is seeing the ball like it's a football. Short ball under the eyeline, the batter goes on the back foot and adjust himself to nail a pull shot through the mid wicket carpet for a boundary. With that, 100 for New Zealand comes up.
17.3 A Singh to D Conway
0 Goes fuller and gets driven but no runs off it. Conway drives him off the front foot towards covers.
17.2 A Singh to D Conway
0 Back of a length again, but that was well outside off. Conway looks at it before leaving it.
17.1 A Singh to D Conway
2 Arsheep returns and gets some treatment. Starts his spell with a back of a length ball that angles down the leg, Conway swivels and pulls it down to deep square leg for a brace as Chahal cuts it out at the deep.
