Hari Nishaanth ( Losing Captain ): "We did not get a start and that is why we are here, two sixes in the last over were costly. Batting has been a strength for me but this year we didn't capitalize as much. I have been with this franchise for four years and this year it was a bit down."

Spartans have won this match by 18 runs. After sent in to bat with the target of 125 runs on a tricky pitch it was not a piece oof cakr for Dragons but nor it was a tough one but the magical first over of G Periyaswamy made it difficult for the Dragons and from there on it got more tough and tough for them.
And the injury of Mani Bharathi costed them a bit more even though the valiant effort of the youngster Vimal Khumar was not too much for the dragons.
Spartans bowlers were on the trot today with Periyaswamy leading the army from the first over and Skipper Murugan Ashwin and R Karthikeyan helping him with 2 wickets each. Spartans bowlers never let the Dragon batters get going and the pitch played an even roll which helped the Spartans bowlers to clinch their first victory of the season before the eliminators gets started.
