Shahrukh Khan(Winning Captain): "Death bowling is what we are working on in this season and so I took the responsibility as I wanted to take the pressure as a skipper and I think I delivered it for the team. Suresh was quite good as far as the hitting matters. For Sanjay, it was the anchor role and he wanted to take his team home like me but one shot did not get connected for him and it was hit there only.

Baba Indrajith (Losing Captain): "It's difficult to say I thought 177 was a par score in this venue, Ajitesh and Sanjay played very well in the middle but unfortunately they got out, It is very hard to describe we did everything well till the last two overs, 9 runs in the last over the game was well in our hands but it didn't go our way, I would have been happy to take a win before going it into the qualifiers."

Kovai Kings have won this match by 5 runs and they have broken the winning streak of Royal Kings. What a nail biting finish this was.
After sent in to bat for the target of 178 runs they started off well excluding the loss of Neranjan as Suryapraksh and Baba Aparajith had a great partnership before Suryapraksh got departed on 45 and then after it was one and only Sanjay Yadav who almost took the game away from the Kovai Kings before he got out in the last over for the score of 54 runs.
The only problem was that he did not got any help on the other end except the 17 runs of 5 balls from Baba Indrajith and the game was on till the last over where the Skipper Shahrukh Khan took the responsibility in his own hands and dismissed the dangerous Sanjay and snatched the game out of Royal Kings.
A valiant effort by Sanjay Yadav was not enough at the end and the Royal Kings have lost there winning streaks.
Good death over bowling by Ajith Ram and Shahrukh Khan took Kovai Kings home.

Flighted delivery on the off stump line on the fuller length, Yadav tries to get to the pitch of the ball and tries to hoick it towards the long-on region but doesn't time it well and ball sails high up in the air, Keeper runs in towards the middle of the pitch and takes the catch.
