Milestone
That brings an end to our coverage for the 24th TNPL game between Ruby Trichy Warriors and Salem Spartans from SCF Cricket Ground. Megh here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Chinmay and scorer/analyst Raju. Stay tuned for more coverage from around the globe.

Rahil Shah (Winning Captain and Player of the match): "Not the way we would like to win, we would have liked to chase the target. But a win is a win. The track was a bit unpredictable, with some turn on one end, so I wanted to bowl 4 overs. They had plenty of right-handers so we wanted to use left-arm spin to our advantage. Atheeq bowls with the same speed with both hands, it was lovely to watch his performance".
Rahil Shah is awarded the player of the match for his figures of 3/13.

WHAT A BUMMER! We had ourselves an absolute rousing game before the rain took command. Ruby Trichy Warriors, however, would not mind that; they must be jubilant after this win.

They came into this tournament with a big victory over Dindigul Dragons, and since then, the Warriors lost four games on the trot. It was a prejudiced encounter that benefitted the spinsters more. The skipper Rahil Shah made the most out of the surface with the figures of 3/13.

The debutant Atheeq Ur Rahman also accompanied him with the figures of 2/9 in his quota of three overs. A monumental bowling display from the Warriors for just 87 in the first innings.

Post that, there was a little job that needed to be done by the Warriors' batters, and even though, they lost a couple of wickets, the Warriors always looked favorites to win the contest.

With this victory, they escalate a little in terms of NRR, but qualification still appears near impossible for the warriors.

Ruby Trichy Warriors won by 4 runs (DLS METHOD)
The DLS PAR score for Warriors after 5 over is 22 and they are 4 runs ahead of it at the moment.
The drizzle was coming down during the entire 5th over. The umpires waited for the over to complete because if the rain didn't allow any further match, they could decide the result based on the DLS method.

Rain has stopped the play. It's a bit of drizzle out there in the middle and the covers have come to the ground.
